Ram's Holding Some Late November to Early December (Possibly More) Orders Due to Quality Issue (threads merged)

According to my dealer, you can not order anymore HD trucks for the rest of the year so with dozens of people waiting for those trucks they have no issue giving me back my deposit.

I wonder if it's a case of "can't order any more" or, "can't order any more through that dealer"?
 
Suspending HD orders is consistent with my recent visits to dealers in COS. The supply lines are a mess.

I do know that order banks closed for fleet sales on March 1 for 2021MY HD Rams. That almost always means that 2-3 weeks after, ALL order banks are closed for that model year.

For those of you that got your trucks after they were sent to TX...how many miles did it have on it when you took delivery?
 
I would ask if you guys would by a new truck that was lost for 6 months and had 135 miles on the odometer from the factory, but you guys are willing to take trucks that were stolen and have rust underneath so I'm probably talking to the wrong crowd.

probably correct. Everybody has their own comfort level. why worry about what someone else would do though?
 
I didn't officially order a truck through Ram, but I did just put a deposit on one. During my research process many dealers told me about the lack of inventory. Finally found one 3 hours away that was listed in their website but when the salesman contacted me about it, he said it was en route to the dealership and should get there May 12th or so. Its a tradesman, 4x4, 4.10 Crew cab 6 ft bed. Put down a $1000 deposit. Hopefully it goes through. It's the best deal I was able to get and has everything I want on it (minus bedliner).
