Work grade vinyl vs cloth

Why do people say the cloth is a upgrade. Seems the opposite to me. Are cloth seats softer than the vinyl?

The cloth seats react to temperature change better.

The seat cushion and shape is the same.

The vinyl gets very hot and very cold and it will stick to your bare skin.

But I love the utility of my vinyl seats.

Get a kick out of the kids in the winter...when they slide out past where their sibling was sitting they think we have heated seats.

The vinyl seats are more forgiving, and probably the better option for a "truck", but the cloth is definitely an upgrade.

I ordered mine with vinyl, when I’m dirty or soaked in sweat, spill a drink, etc, I imagine the amount of junk that would soak into a cloth seat. I wondered how the work grade vinyl differs from standard vinyl

The 4th gen offered both. The 2019 4.5 gen only offers the work grade.

The difference was texture and thickness.

I’m in no hurry. Been driving beaters all my life. Just hope it serves me well and lasts without being to problematic
