Ram's Holding Some Late November to Early December (Possibly More) Orders Due to Quality Issue (threads merged)

Latest from my salesman a few minutes ago:

I have talked with Neil, our new car manager, no word on any of those concerns you mentioned. We have had 2 Ram 2500s delivered from Centreville (rail yard) this week. I hope tomorrow or this weekend it will arrive, maybe Monday. If you need to pull out of the deal we understand and I will help with that transition but I'm staying positive that your Ram 2500 Limited will be delivered..

I'm sorry he suspected you want to walk away from the deal. I've yet to be able to get a word on mine. Below is the latest from another thread:

Our dealer got back to me and yes there is a recall that goes into effect tomorrow. Until the recall is official tomorrow, he can not input VINs to see if a specific vehicle is impacted. It is for a potential fire safety condition caused by a relay in the engine compartment. As of now there is no remedy for it. The hope I hold is that if this really does impact all the trucks, then Ram will make it a first priority to get it fixed. But if our trucks are included in the recall they will be held by Ram or the dealer until the issue is fixed. Not good news, but nothing we can do but wait if we want our trucks.

Edit: Apparently it is for trucks with the Cummins so maybe the gas trucks will not be impacted. Guess we will only know the details for sure tomorrow.

they probably want us to pull out of the deal because truck prices and demand are through the roof, they can make several thousand more by selling to someone new and not the agreed upon price.
 
Sorry for the confusion, I’m the one who said something about canceling my order if it is going to take months longer, he was just responding to that. I’m hopefully he is being honest about them taking delivery of 2 2500s this week. There are a couple 2021 2500s on their website.

remember a few weeks ago there was the post of the new ram diesel that burned up...quick response by RAM
 
Sorry to hear this for all your diesel guys. Thankfully mine is a 6.4 so maybe it’s actually on the way to the dealership this time and the were just checking all the trucks initially. We’ll see...
 
Mine was inspected this morning and is showing completed according to my dealer. Hopefully they get it on a carrier and get it delivered
