Ordered my Banks Pedal Monster today. What to expect?

I have yet to experience this and based on what has been said I've tried to replicate it. It responds exactly as it should when I hit the pedal.

It comes down to the torque management IMO - if you are trying to get some get up and go in a HURRY... you may experience it. Normal everyday driving not so much. If you have ever driven a deleted truck with a tans tune you would see what your missing!

Yeah when I tried to replicate the instance I actually would drive at 45-55, stab the brakes to almost a stop then hit the pedal to the floor. Did that multiple times and it responded immediately without issues. I then did multiple attempts from a dead stop flooring the pedal, again had no issues. I have no desire to delete and tune and then deal with all the hassles at the dealer or have to revert back to stock. Not worth it to me.

I never had issue with the dealer. They always took care of any warranty issues. The service advisor at that time was knowledgeable enough to ask me before any computer updates. In fact when I traded it in on my 2019 3500 they never asked me for the stock exhaust or to revert the tune to stock. About a month a go I saw they had sold it deleted and all.

Nothing to do with braking really, more related to the on throttle, off throttle, right back on hard is when you experience it.

I notice that there is not anybody that has complained about the pedal problem with a 2021 truck.
Do you think that the CP3 pump and associated software has fixed the problem?

My 2020 / 3500 HO has never had any pedal problem right at 20K miles. Why do some trucks have this issue and others don't if they have the same Motor/ Trans and same software ?

I have a 2019 and I only notice it because I've researched it and compared it to other vehicles. If your unaware of the issue you likely won't notice it. Occasionally when I have tried to pass someone I've noticed the sponge pedal. Everything else is just general pedal response, which again you won't notice unless you are comparing to another vehicle that has sensitive pedal response.

I ordered the Banks pedal Monster last night. From everything I have read it should not disappoint.

Installed mine Friday afternoon and WOW!! I couldn't believe the difference. It's like the truck woke up and became an Olympic sprinter. Worth every penny.

Curious about this too. I drive mostly interstate and open road with a little city driving. I really like the Sport mode bumped up one or two above half. I think if you have a lot of stop and go, city mode would be better. Same if your pulling a trailer to prevent jerking it around. But I've only had mine a few days.

Here's my experience. Definitely responds faster from a stop and smooth accelerating to the power you want now. Every setting up from stock is noticeable. Then with the incremental levels in each setting is noticeable.
I drive in the sport bumped up 1/2 way.
I have had it installed since 2/24/21
I have notice my mpg has dropped from 14.5 to 12.9 now. This defiantly makes me have lead foot! LOL! Also more rear tire wear.
Dead pedal is still 100% there. When accelerating and off to zero throttle then quickly back to 1/4,1/2, 3/4 & full throttle, there is your prominent dead pedal. Then throttle response catches up seconds after.

Sounds great but I am bummed about the dead pedal report. That is my main reason for wanting it. I have had that happen from a stop when pulling out and also on a freeway onramp. Both times a driver in front of me caused me to get off the pedal. When I went to get back on the pedal it was dead for the long count!

I have never heard of anyone having a noticeable dead pedal with the Banks Pedal Monster. UPS showing mine will be here tomorrow...

One out of..........
Yeah I don’t at all from a stop. Some folks aren’t clear with their explanation of dead pedal while already at cruising speed and flooring it vs from a stop. I have ZERO dead pedal from a stop with my Banks. Not sure why it would be different for some but not the case with mine nor a few buddies of mine. One of the best couple hundred bucks I’ve spent for my 2500 Cummins.

Precisely. Thank you for your confirmation. I've seen nay sayers, but don't understand how they cannot duplicate the symptom. I do know there are more that have this consistent problem.

Excellent. That is correct. Dead pedal is never from a stop.
