After the last storm we had I’m guessing my backup alarm on my 2020 Ram 3500 is ensconced in ice and causing it to be silent. Where the heck is it ? I laid ok the ground for a bit but couldn’t find it so any help would be great. Thanks In advance!

Thanks! I’ll crank it down and check it. Not sure how it got covered up there but I guess anything is possible with the blizzard conditions we had.

Check the settings in the evic first maybe it turned itself off even packed in snow and ice you can still hear it slightly

Definitely still on, it’s very faint and muffled though so that’s why I was thinking ice.

The back up alarm was annoying for me so i just pulled the fuse lol

That’s what it’s supposed to do . Kept a few people from cutting in back of me as I’m plowing. But as others have said if you don’t like it you can turn it off in the Commercial Settings menu.

I knew it could be turned off and was just guessing it was in the radio. Commercial in the EVIC makes more sense as it's available on all trims.

What would be really cool would be if you could program it too a “favorite” button so you could turn it on/off on a button on the radio screen from the EVIC.

Would be fine where it is if we could change it while driving

I have 2020 2500. Is it possible to activate this option from AlfaOBD? I found these settings

Yup, these are the settings- 77BD6AF2-8A64-46AE-A2B8-BD1CCF088FB4.jpeg
Obviously, you would have to add the missing circuits and alarm (wire from bcm pin E8 to the fuse box C3 connector, then from fuse box C3 connector to the backup alarm)

Jimmy are you able to help with that? ;)
I know this is just alarm and might be annoying to some but I have 3 little kids and sometimes I reverse before I look on the display. (actually that happens more then sometimes). I know the alarm will make them run away before I start moving.
