Anybody Have Any Issues with the new HD's yet?

I thought it was only me! Yes, I have the same issue and the squeal comes from the steering wheel column! Left only too....

The little fit and finish items consume the most time with dealers.....new tranny can be done in a day...squeal takes 3 weeks with the truck just sitting there on the lot before the “squeal master mechanic” can look at it....ugh!

Ikr.

I'm also a little upset about reading something about how the 6.4 may have the same cam issue as the 5.7... which was something I thought I was getting away from preemptively by getting this one

I've had 2 issues.... nothing major but still..

#1: DEF overfill caused the DEF system to go into limp mode (or derate to 5mph.) There is apparently a service bulletin on this. I was told by my dealer to not fill the DEF tank past 3/4... ??
#2: Rear air suspension error message. Happened after I filled up at the station. I got home and wiggled the ride height sensors in the back and the problem went away..

When I picked up my truck from the dealership, the DEF tank was at 3/4 full. I thought that was odd because the diesel tank was full. My salesman did not mention the DEF tank problem during the delivery inspection, but he may not know.

Thanks for letting us know.

No issues here at 2500 miles and 3 months
Been great. Interior has held up well to 3 kids and fit and finish has been impressive. First oil change was at 2000 miles (a lot longer than I wanted to go) but I swapped that out with the T6 from shell. Good stuff. PS do yourself a favor and get a 93mm 15 point filter wrench. No changes have been made to the fun of getting to the oil filter and replacing that.
I have enjoyed this truck immensely but ill keep you all posted!

Just filled mine up two weeks ago to the top...nothing yet as far as issues and she has been ran daily.

Is it just like the previous generation where the oil filter won't drop straight out of the bottom?

You are correct. It almost seems like there is just a little less working space in there as well. Its do able but I would recommend a you guys order the oil filter plug off of amazon or genosgarage.com and make sure you use that.
Personally when I do my oil changes I know they are done right. So for me its worth the hassle and potential mess.

I am probably asking a dumb question, but what is an oil filter plug?

I found the oil filter plug.

Does the plug from the 2018 filter fit a 2019 filter?

Howdy,
It is a top cover contraption which is simply a cap for the oil filter. So you can then tilt the old filter whatever way, and it will not go all over.

After you use your 93mm oil filter wrench, and the filter is loose, you then unscrew it, and gently put this cap on, and then remove the old filter from the area. Take the cap off, and drain the oil into your pan. :)

I just ordered one from GenosGarage. Thank you.

You’ll be really happy with it. The part numbers are the same for the oil filter so the cap will screw on just the same. You’ll be happy you did it.

I only had a passenger door striker off a little, and the door was hard to shut. I wonder if Ram / Uconnect will get a update ( fix ) for the health report on the 12"

Hope so

1200 miles and no issues so far. The dealer topped off my DEF tank when I picked up. No issues.

Has anyone had any issues with the digital speedometer? Every now and again the digital readout will flicker, example is I’m going 55mph and it will flicker back and forth 54mph and 55mph for a second or two.

Someone did mention that similar issue (I have it as well)... I don't recall seeing a following up post... it is on my list of stuff for the dealer to address once I take it for the 1st oil change (and that is another discussion).

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any issues yet with their new HDs? I'm close to ordering mine and I'm little hesitant being its the first year, even though I know it isn't completely all new.
Yes the ram death wobble in my 3500 dually 4x4

Not sure if this pertains to you as well but ram care sent me a message in my 3500 DRW. “ I did also want to make you aware that you have 1 incomplete RRT regarding your air suspension. We recommend contacting your dealer for further information regarding this.” I am taking mine in this week.

Here is a new one. Tried to get On my truck wifi(I have a 2 year plan) and it says wrong password. I always use it and know it’s correct. For giggles I tried to change that or the access point name and it won’t let me. Truck running or not. Cycled it on and off a few times as well. Next I guess is the old disconnect batteries trick or I’ll add to my list for the dealer this week with my air suspension RRT.
I feel a software update needed for this crap and AC fix.
