Does anyone know if there is a way to get the instrument cluster to display what gear you are in without using the gear limit function?? It is my understanding that if you use the gear limit function it shuts off the MDS, I like to know what gear I am in but do not want to shut off the MDS. I cannot find any thing in the display set up for gear indication.

2021 3500 6.4 Hemi

Thanks

Yeah I don't think I want to be getting into it with any type of after market software programmers/readers. I was hoping there was something simple in the options I was missing somewhere.

Transmission range lockout buttons. I find it easiest to hit 55 and know I'm in 8. Then hit the "-" button and you lockout you 8th gear and you will see the indication instead of "D"

Even tho the manual say you can, it does not work. Short answer, currently no way to display it without using the gear limiter.

Well, if you don't want to do what all of us old timers have done and change the settings in the BCM, I guess you are just SOL. The thread referenced is the ONLY way to make it appear all of the time. It is very nice to have it display all of the time.

Guess I'm SOL then. Thanks
