Drive through question

I will stick to if you can pull in...You should be able to back out.
I agree. But good luck getting the whole line of cars wrapped around the building to all back up. Haha have you ever seen a chick fil a drive thru? Lol always wrapped!

Come on, you diesel boys just start rolling coal and the Hyundia's, Kia's and Prius's behind you will scatter like roaches when the light comes on!!

There are quite a few places around here that have lost my business because of the design of their drive-thru. Either they have a stupidly low clearance height, or they have physical barriers that wouldn't allow me to make the turn. I have no issues jumping curbs or bowling over cones, but I won't risk plastic bumpers against concrete/brick barriers. If I had the shorter wheelbase of the mega, I may be inclined to try a few of them, but definitely not all.

The lack of turning radius on my CCLB is one of the limiting factors to wanting a lift/level and larger tires. I already have issues just getting into some parking lots here. I know the mega is slightly shorter but I can't imagine it's much better for turning. I do use my mirrors ALOT when going through drive throughs though. just to make sure I don't run up a curb.

Lots of good answers here, generally sounds like the mega can fit most drive thrus. The one that I was in when I thought to post this included tight 90 degree turn between building and retaining wall. So not many options and always a line behind you. Prob a good one to just park and go in—at least until I see another 3/4 ton try it.

you guys who have owned other brands, how do ours stack up with regard to tight space manuvering? I’m guessing all 2500’s are about the same. But on my test drive, we did a three point turn on a two lane/ dead end and I was impressed.

I believe the Fords (2500/3500) are quite a bit worse than the Ram. Several folks recommend the F450, has a wide front end with a great turning radius.
Cannot speak to the Chevy/GM.

When you're at 22' long, no rear wheel steering, you'll need a zip code worth of space ;)

Last summer during covid lock downs we were towing our rigs in convoy to go wheelin. Only open place to eat on the exit was a krystals and the lobby was closed, drive thru only.

We lucked out and they unlocked the door when we knocked on it and took our order and brought it out to us. (If you can call eating krystals lucky)
