MOPAR - MAXCARE - Zeigler - Extended Warranty Merged Mega Thread

I bought the 7 yr Maxcare with my 2016 Ram 2500 for something like $1800
The only problem I've had with this truck was the brake release lever has been replaced three times.
Total waste of money in my opinion. Not buying it for the new build.
It will be a good selling point though when the truck goes on the market. Transferable to the new owner for a small fee.

It's a crap shoot ! Factory warranty without a doubt is the best . Whether it is worth the expense is a decision you have to make . My 14 the extended warranty cost more than I would have spent out of pocket . My son bought it from me a year ago warranty expired and still has not had any repairs . That truck had about 40,000 miles of towing a 14,00 5th wheel all over the country and many mountains . So you never know . It can be a life saver on your wallet or a waste of money . Personally I did buy another factory warranty . Whether it was wasted cash or a prudent purchase only time will tell . Being the my truck has a CP4 I am looking at it as a prudent purchase .

What is weird is dealers offers third party warranty but won't tell you about the factory extended warranty.

I never buy them either..couldn’t understand paying for something up front that doesn’t kick in till the factory warranty expires..

Depends on the dealer some do 3rd party some do FCA both dealers i go to use FCA extended and offer renewals aslong as you get it before the original warranty expires

My favorite go to response is: “ what I hear you saying, you are offering an extended warranty because the product you are selling is a p.o.s.?” Usually I get a befuddled look, then a stammering, “no,no,no, that’s not what I’m saying.....” I don’t do the warranty thing.

I've used Ziegler on my ecodiesel. I had to use it twice. The extended warranty was cheaper than the repair costs.

Yes I bought it last March. I had bought the truck Sep 2019. I went with the Maximum care and 200 deductible.

Just picked this one up Saturday. I added on the factory 8/85 bumper to bumper. I think we all know how easily electronics fail this day and age, and with all the electronic doodads this thing has, I don't want be paying for them when they fail lol.

You won’t till after 3years/36000miles. What you actually bought is 5years/ 49000 mile warranty and your drive train is covered for 5/100000 already The way I read it. Help me if I’m wrong.

Mine is a Hemi so drive train is 5/60. Yes I know bumper to bumper is 3/36. I don't want to be paying for the electrical doodads after that if they fail as I will probably have this truck at leat 10 years
Had my last one for 12.

And you bought it from that site?
With all of the issues I’ve had with my 2020, it doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
I've bought 2 extended warrantees from them, one for my 14 1500 and one for my Charger. I printed out their quote when I went in to pay for the RAM and told my dealer I would buy from them if they matched the price. They wouldnt. Ive used it once on the RAM. I will be buying one for the new one when it shows up. They are legit.

I was on their page and didn’t see anything about pricing. Does anyone have a direct link?
