2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

I was hoping they'd be part of another package, but no such luck. Also, mine is SRW. I just read that they are required on dually's due to width. I'd consider getting them dealer installed, but its a heck of a lot more than the $95 I'd have paid from the factory, and I'd be concerned about leaks. I saw some wireless ones Amazon sells, but battery powered clearance lights seems too cheezy. Just kicking myself as I thought I reviewed the order about 20 times. Guess I'll have to wait for my next truck!
Yeah, the only package the clearance lights are part of is the Snow Chief group or you have to order them a la carte.

I'm sure there is a reason. Probably run trucks in batches after all the parts are allocated. I'm a megacab dually which is pretty much of a unicorn. Basically ... I'm screwed. Only thing worse would be if I lived in Canada (Sorry Canada guys). LOL
Lol. Mine is en route. So freaking stoked.

I ordered the Snow Chief group. For the 800 bucks, you get the limited slip differential, 220 amp alternator, transfer case guard, upgraded OWS tires, aux switches, and the spiffy clearance lights. Order the above mentioned separately, and its something like 1400. I've always wanted clearance lights because they look cool. I would have ordered the rear end, alternator, and transfer case guard anyway. For me it was a good deal.

Interesting about package. I did not care for the Limited grill or interior colors. So I ordered the Longhorn and added the remaining options al la carte. Cost 600 more than the Limited with the same equipment. Go figure.

It's a good deal. I just wish they had a clearance light delete. I personally think they have no real purpose and especially there are 5 additional holes in the roof that can leak.I know it really is a rarity but I don't like giving water an opportunity to get in .There are times when you don't find out until after it has done alot of damage. I know lots and lots of guys like them.... I am just not one of them.

The clearance lights on my 2003 leaked too. They didn’t learn much in 18 years.

I see many posting and asking what percent under invoice are folks getting, I am 3% under invoice on my final deal. I had shopped around to many dealers and a few provided better discounts but... in the end after they would tack on their dealer charges such as inflated doc fees and the other tricky ways, the vehicle came out to be more in the end. Only mentioning this as its not always the % below invoice that is the best OTD price...

@RichM752 I see in your post the upgraded OWS tires, which I did not take notice of when I ordered that... Ironically I went to the website to see that and the Snow Chief Package does not appear in the Packages anymore????? That is interesting. Did it (when it was avail) share what tires it will come with, as in Manufacture and type? I ask for I am not a fan of the Firestones and am going to provide dealer diff tires and get credit for the Firestones....

You are correct, the package does not appear on the 'build your Ram website'. Initially I got wind of the package from shopping inventories online. Last year DSM in Idaho had 6 2500's with this package. I copied the window sticker and presented it to multiple dealers.

@RichM752 I see what your referring to, not necessarily an upgraded tire but OWL (outlined white letter) tires. I am sure they are still the nasty Firestone tires. Yeah interesting and wonder why they no longer offer the Snow Chief Package....

Yep, they are On/Off road tires which I'm sure are the Firestones. If you look on the build website they are an 300 upgrade, for whatever thats worth. A more agressive tread, rather than highway? At any rate, they come with the package which the dealer can include in the build order, but not viewable on the build site.
Snow Chief package is available for 2021.
I checked with Discount Tire yesterday. The Firestones included in this package retail there for $202 each. I very well might have them changed out right away to the Cooper AT3's which I presently have mounted on my 2016 Ram. The Coopers are 1075 OTD, and I can unload the Firestones on Craigslist for 500-600.

You guys had me worried because I just ordered my new pickup about a week ago, and I was afraid that it might not have the snow chief package on it when it gets here. I just went to the "build and price" site, and the option is still there.

I stand corrected... I was quick to check out this Upgraded tire and in my haste I did not choose 4 wheel drive at the beginning. Yeah I guess it wouldn’t show on a 2 wheel drive...again my bad! I apologize for the numerous Heart Attacks that may have been due to my post!!!

Just chatted with Ram Care.
"Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle is currently in the trim stage of the build process. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided."
Ordered 1/21

I kind of like them. Even though they did not get that good of Reviews. My dealer added them to my order because he had a misconception about the standard M&S tires. I am going to run them and see how they do.

Reading the reviews, I wonder if the people not happy with the tires in the snow put any weight in the bed for winter. I found that a dozen sand bags over the rear axle makes a big difference with traction.

Assuming no damage during shipping or RAM doing some kind of hold, I'll be taking delivery of my 3500 in March. Just looked at March incentives - looks like no change from February. 0% for 36 months. Was hoping for something a little better, but I'll take the 0% for as long as I can.
