When I eventually convince the little woman that we really do need a new pickup, I am going to order one exactly the way I want it.
I would like to get a dark red one, but I don't know how accurate the colors are on the computer when doing the "build and price" thing. The Delmonico red is OK, but it seems to be more of a maroon than true red. I know what the Flame red looks like, and it is a lighter color than I would like. The Case IH red looks the closest to what I want on the computer screen, but I have not seen it in person. Anyone on here have a truck in that Case IH red? If so, can you tell me how it compares to the Flame red?

Red typically looks like a commercial vehicle. At the 2019 red did

The Delmonico is such a cool color in person. It looks different depending on how the light hits it. I wanted it but my wife wanted flame red. So we have flame red LOL

One caveat: Neither of us liked the Delmonico with the chrome package though. Night Edition with that color is where it's at IMO

Yeah, I've seen both the Delmonico, and the Flame red in person. I do like both of them, but would really like to have a darker true red.

She really looks the best with the sun shining on it.

Well, your two choices are Flame Red and Delmonico for Ram trucks, unless you wish to paint a new truck. Both are sharp looking colors. The Flame Red is closer to Case IH

At least on the Tradesman, Case IH red is one of the colors available. I just haven't found one to check out in person.

It costs an extra $450, but I don't think it is special order.
Interesting. I see it on the builder for the Tradesman and Big Horn. I have never tried to build anything but a Laramie and the builder does not offer those low volume colors for the Laramie. I wonder if they can still be ordered on a Laramie.

I don't think there are many people that would be happy with black door handles on a Laramie.

Imho, one of the biggest failings with the ram system is the limited color choices as you progress up the trim level chain. Cant get any of the custom colors in laramie level, flame red, olive green not available in limited trim, etc. Fewer black out options limited vs laramie. To me it should be reversed, limited options lowest level trim, maximum options highest level trim.
I think a lime green, yellow or arobin blue limited with the black-out package would rock....

It seems that Ram likes to limit the higher level trims to the colors they believe are more upscale. I think that sucks. Olive Green would be awesome on the Limited. Also don't like how certain colors are only available for special editions. Like Anvil Gray. Only on the TRX launch edition or the 1500 built to serve edition. While I would say they need to expand the color offering, one could make an argument against it. Seems all anybody wants, and what dealer stock, is a Black or White truck with everything blacked out with black interiors (Yuk).

It would be nice if you could order your truck any way you wanted it, at least with the high end trims. On the bright side, that saved me from spending about an extra $6k.
