My Build Sheet came active this past Tuesday, and the Window Sticker was available today. The dealer also sent me a note that the truck is on its way via rail.

Question on Pricing.....the Window Sticker is approx $1k higher than the worksheets used for ordering (placed the order December 14). One biggie is Customer Preferred Package 21k (Towing Technology Group). Back in December this was a $0 cost, now it shows on the sticker for $995. How does this gap in price work with the dealer? Do I still pay the price we agreed to back in December, or do I have to absorb the price increases?

Your dealer should be held to honor the agreed sales price, unless "you" made a change. What was your build?
 
Stopped by the dealer today. D1 Status. They’re unaware of any changes and said they (FCA) couldn’t change it after the order was placed.
Ordered 1/19. Scheduled ship date 3/1. Dealer believes they’ll receive it mid March.

Ordered mine the same day, will be interesting to see when we receive our trucks. I asked the sales lady when I should start "bugging her", she says the first week in March. So, it looks like we're on the same "wave". I ordered a 3500 SRW Limited, SO 6.7 Cummins

Perhaps interesting news... while chatting with Ram, I mentioned I was in D1 status last week and wondered what the update my be. She said:
“I apologize, Chris we no longer use the status codes so I would not be able to advise what this would correspond to, there is no set date for it to move however the max time it can remain in this stage is 30 days, but it can progress at any time. I would recommend checking back in about a week and we can check again for you!”

So a few things. Sounds like the status codes may not apply as much, but even more interesting was the 30 day comment. First I’d heard that. I‘ve been D1 since 2/3, so that may imply they’ll start building it by 3/3 which I guess jives with my 3/15 ship date...

Not sure why an independent dealer would be in control of, or on the hook for, Ram‘s changes. It literally says right on the sheet:

I've been in D1 for just about 30 days. I doubt that 30 day comment is real but ya never know.

I get a funny feeling my truck is being assembled as I type this. Wishful thinking.

Don’t read too much into that. I was in D1 for over 8 weeks before mine was built.

Ceramic coating does many things other than that, among them it protects the paint surface and has hydrostatic properties to shed water. Helps the truck "look" cleaner longer and makes washing easier. Also prevents swirl marks.

I had my Chrysler 200 coated almost 7 years ago and it has 128000 miles on it and it's never been waxed. I also use to take it to the car wash twice a week when I traveled and still don't have any swirl marks. I will always have it on a car I own

There are links to look up a build using VIN numbers, Is there a means to see the status of an order using the VON?

I would hold dealer to the agreed price......PERIOD!
