Anyone know if there is a way to get the same speed limit indicator that displays on the Nav screen to display in the drivers cluster? Always like looking down at the gauge to see the speed limit on my Sierra but now I have to turn the Nav screen on every time which is a bit annoying. Thanks.

They have these signs along the sides of roads that display them lol... in all seriousness as far as i know its not possible to do that unfortunately

If nothing else it would be nice if you had the option for your digital speedometer color to change to red like it does on the speed limit sign on the Nav whenever you're exceeding the threshold setting.

Where we’re going, we won’t need roads....

Thanks. It’s actually super helpful when you’ve got a truck full of kids and you are listening to the whistle of your turbo diesel and look down and realize “oh ****....what’s the speed limit here”. We’ve all done it.

I don't know the last time I used the dash speedo of any sort. usually look at waze on the awesome screen :D

This concept has me intrigued, but I wonder how things would/could/should be handled when the posted speed limit isn't recognized by any of the GPS programs? For example, the first 15 minutes of my drive in either direction is not recognized by Waze (regardless of how many times I submit a report), Google or the Ram nav. They all show 55, but posted signs vary from 30 to 55 throughout.

I do keep an eye on the road signs, for that very reason. I've seen waze / gmaps show 70 or 75 when it's 65. it'll get ya in trouble if you don't keep track.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the optional HUD that comes with UC5 (whenever that'll roll out to the HDs) can display the speed limit.

Yeah. Not to mention I tend to round up whenever I see what is posted, so could get in some trouble.
Yeah again, not the most appropriate/efficient driving technique but on my Sierra I used it frequently as nothing more than a speed validation check. We have them in our HDs, but having to pull up the Nav app (which I think is ugly and don’t use) just to check it is annoying. Would have thought with all the options in the cluster a speed limit indicator would be one of them. Oh well. Can’t win em all.

The HUD is probably one my biggest "Wish it had" items.
I've had it on various other vehicles and have found it to be useful. Not required, obviously, but very useful (1st world problems)

My wife has had hud on her last two cars and it's now a must have for her. I'd love it too except that I wear polarized sunglasses and they don't get along with the hud.

Uconnect 5 doesn’t have anything to do with the HUD. The 1500 DTs already have the HUD, so I’m sure the HDs will follow suit next year.
