Hello, I just purchased my first ever Ram Truck and first ever Diesel Truck. I've had my 2020 2500 Crewcab Longbed about a week now and haven't stopped smiling. It's a Bighorn with Sport and Offroad packages. I've been driving an '89 F-250 with a 460 and 5-speed for the past 21 years. I'll miss the old truck, but this Ram is the nicest Truck I've ever driven. I look forward to learning more and seeing everyone's projects. As soon as I sell my old truck I plan to add side steps ( I have to decide whether to go black or stainless), a bed mat and I'll be polishing up my Protec toolbox to use on this truck .

Gotta love those stretch versions! Since it looks like you plan on keeping it for a while (judging by the photo looks like you don't have them) you might want to think about installing a set of rear wheel liners

Thanks, any recommendations on type? I see Rough country and husky make them. What seem to be the preferred option-dealer, aftermarket?

I am a factory guy so I went with the OEM parts. I also bought the Rough Country liners but I didn't like them because the didn't come with any clips for the screws and wasn't impressed with how they fit on the 2500.
Maybe someone that has installed the RC's will chime in and give there opinion on them.
There is a thread dealing with the O.E.M install under the "Exterior" category. If you are going to have it rust proofed or something of that nature I would take the existing guards out before and install the full housings after it is completed..

Thank you, I located the part numbers I need and am leaning toward OEM. I'll be looking to pick some up, along with side steps this week. I sold my old truck last night so I plan to put the proceeds into accessories

There you go! Have fun.

I was able to get the full wheel liners installed along with some steps. Thanks for helping out a new guy
