2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

2 1/2 months is a long time without a build date, looks like yours is on the long schedule. I was a couple of days shy of 3 months to get the build date and window sticker. Fingers are crossed for things to pick up for you.
Thank you. I am not holding my breath. Just some information would be nice.

I'm just over 4 months since I ordered my truck. It's built and sitting in at Logistics Park, IL. for over a week waiting to be delivered. Was supposed to be delivered between Jan 4th and 18th. Now they pushed out the delivery date as far as Feb. 5th... which will put me nearly 5 months since I ordered. Cannot figure why it'll take potentially another 3 weeks to make a 5 to 5 1/2 hour trip to Central WI I know there was a shortage of drivers for the car-hauler's but this is getting nuts.

They were not in a hurry to build yours either. I guess all the hoopla that they say that sold trucks take priority. I found a truck exactly like mine, but two tone white instead of red, at a dealership ~90 miles from me. I am about to go buy it and say to heck with the one I ordered. It is getting close.

90 miles isn't bad. Googled drive time and distance from Central WI to Logistics Park, IL. 300 miles and is 4 hrs. 26 min away. My truck is sooo close but sooo far away and they won't allow me to go get it or my dealer to get it either.

I even offered to fly in and drive my truck back from Mexico. Nope. Doesn’t matter still not built. :)

Mine is 529462. Ordered 10/30. Still not built.
That sucks we ordered our trucks on the same day. I got a '21 2500 6.7 Laramie with 5th/goose prep package and bed lights and liner. My vin ended in 529490 and it showed up at the dealer in KY on 12/30/2020. Did you order a lot of add-ons or low volume paint?

WOW, my VIN is 505997, Hydro Blue CC 6.4 Hemi with bed liner and running boards and I still don't have it....

I ordered a Laramie 3500 crew cab, SRW, fully loaded, with power steps, bed liner, bed cover, and 5th wheel prep, in delmonico red paint.

I got the Hydro blue as well, the wife wanted it. I got aftermarket step from N-Fab.
I thought it made sense to have them spray the bed liner install the LED bed lights and put the running boards and bumper step all on at once. Price wise it was cheaper than doing it all after I had the truck delivered.

Today is 26 days of sitting at the rail yard awaiting to be loaded on a semi for a short drive to dealer.
No one can give me an owner of dealer, salesman, general manager, regional rep, Ram Cares, Ram U.S. Customer Care, and second level supervisor with Ram U.S. Customer Care.

I’ve now watched via the Ram website dealer stock trucks flow through that same rail yard in a day. There are now dealer stock trucks sitting on lots that did not even leave Mexico until after my truck has been in that rail yard.

REAL pissed at this point.

No answers, no ETA, it’s as if the truck disappeared.
I’ve got way to much time into tracking down/hounding/begging people for answers. Took a lot to get regional rep but that has not gotten me a truck yet.

Ram your customer service and follow through are terrible with a capitol T.

If you just ordered or are considering ordering I would seriously consider all the examples on this thread of poor logistics, communication, and pissed off customers.

How are you able to track trucks moving through that yard?

That would really piss me off. Likely missed out on cash incentives while you were waiting as well. I hope you get your truck really soon.

I would have to agree, unexplained delays, non-sold vehicles being transported to dealers while sold vehicles collect dust. Left hand seemingly doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Don't get me wrong. I loved my prior 2012 Ram but this whole ordering process and multiple delays has really altered my view of the Ram Brand and Customer Service end. Furthermore, after reading all the postings on this site since I joined on 12-20-2020, it has really opened my eyes as to the inability to be able to track vehicles and get honest reliable updates on their statuses. If anyone were to contact me who was thinking about ordering a New truck I would honestly have them read these messages in the Forum and let this information be a factor in his / her decision to order a truck vs. buy one already built or perhaps buy another Brand.... RAM needs to have a SERIOUS talk with their Logistics team and get this straightened out. Withholding information on the status of a build or it's location in the system is NOT a viable alternative either.

Couldn’t agree more on this one.
I was suppose to receive a phone call yesterday to discuss the inability of the factory to build my truck. Guess what no phone call, no email, not even a whisper. So it goes that white truck on the dealers lot looks better and better everyday.

It’s the only rail yard that trucks for 400 mile radius come through. I can search trucks 250 miles from that zip via “Find My Truck”/search new dealer stock on the Ram site. The dealer trucks will either be “in transit” or “on dealer lot”. Then you can look at the window sticker and the SL date to see when those trucks were built. I can’t tell how many sold orders are going through that yard though via this method.

Will the dealer you ordered your truck from refund your down payment?
