2019 Ram CP3 Conversion Tick at idle

I found you on YouTube Nordic Nevs! I subbed, good videos. I put my truck back together, it's like a whole new truck. The noise is no longer there and no more vibration. I changed the relief spring on my fass from a 6psi to a 15 psi. I think that or cleaning the injectors fixed the problem. It runs great now. I'm super happy.

Hey man, so is the tick gone? I have that too. Haven't pulled the trigger on the cp3 conversion yet but did install a FASS 160 and its deleted too. That tick sound drives me nuts.
 
No not yet, I am working with my tuner. He's been sending me files. It runs like **** honestly. I am starting to regret deleting it. I have a miss and the random ticks.

Hey buddy just seen your thread I have a 2019 ram I did the S&S cp3 conversion on mike and did the full deletes and I gained this exact tick , I have done a lot of reading and I’m starting to believe that it is the cp3 itself , did you end up find out what the cause is ???
 
I'm sorry to hear that. I have not nailed it down yet. I'm getting a new FCA tomorrow to see if that will help the issue. If it doesn't I am going to test the fuel rail for PRV leaks.

To save you the hassle the tuning doesn’t change anything I switched tunes on the truck from breakout to ccs and it didn’t change anything just so you don’t waist your money on switching tunes if you find anything out about this keep me posted and I will let you know as well if I find anything out too !

Okay I figured out what was going on. The truck is running way better. The FCA was bad. So if anyone is having the same issue. Check your actual vs commanded rail pressure. It it is constantly bouncing it's a bad FCA. Industrial Injection sent me one for free, so they did good on the issue.
 
Yes, and if you did a CP3 conversion you need a modified FCA from Industrial or S&S

It was a pain but mainly because it was my first time. The only thing that sucked was the ECM install.

Are any of you concerned about warranty ? is this something that RAM could use against any of you in the future ? just real curious.
 
I didn't really care about the warranty. I bet they would do anything they could to get out of paying for a problem if you did a conversion. Not sure though.

If you convert to CP3 you are your own warranty station as far as engine work goes.
