Going on my 4th week of JB status and the holiday shutdown hasn’t helped.

So, did you have a expected ship date when you were in jb status? My date has been january 4th or 5th since it went to d1 status

They have never given me an expected ship date. I have been using Ram Chat for all my updates and they never provide much information. I don’t want to bother my dealer every other week for updates.

I can understand that, hopefully things will start flowing, on monday, christmas probably held a lot of trucks up

I ordered my truck on 9/14, Build sheet 11/23, Window sticker 12/21.. Crypto is free.
I ordered my truck 9/14, build sheet 11/23 before Christmas got message from Ram Cares and was told would be after the 5th of January before anything else was going to be done at factory. So I am still awaiting additional equipment to be installed

I hear ya, must be a big back up in getting the bed liners sprayed in and the running boards and bumper steps as well. Typically, from what I've read, the trucks are usually there for about 4 days and then shipped....

Looks like they’re 16-18 weeks out for extras to be installed (side steps, bed liner etc).

How’s everyone planning on paying for their truck? I was planning on doing 50% cash down and finance the rest.

I talked to Ram Chat this morning. Been in D1 status for 6 weeks. No expected build date as of yet. All they keep saying is all the parts are there and ready and it is awaiting the assembly line. Two weeks ago they told me my truck started the assembly process. Guess that was a false start. Guess this one may be here before March. I am at 9 weeks right now.

well. I hope they are wrong,I work at a supplier drivetrain plant, and assembly is building the 28, 29 and 3rd, and that has never happened in my memory

Wow D1 time is all over the map. I was in D1 status for just over 3 weeks ; then, in 72 hrs I had a build sheet and window sticker. Mine shipped Dec 23 and I ordered the BigHorn 3500 HO CC 4x4 on 10 Nov 2020. Only out source was the spray in Berliner.

Yeah I am not holding my breathe on this one. Dealer says they will have the truck by the 23rd of January. Don’t see that happening. I got steps, bed cover, and spray liner.

Ordered mine 9/29 . Was able to pull up a window sticker on 12/23. I'm suppose to be getting an update tomorrow from ram... I'm hoping its on its way.. (bed liner ,step, airbags, running boards, level 2 laramie) not sure what has held it up..never imagined it would take this long..

I'm going to put something out there, I hope it's taking in the right way,
the normal supply chain of the auto industry is not what it normally is,
everyday manufacturers are dealing with high absenteeism and part shortages due to people having covid 19, or quarantining
the big 3 are doing what they can, but every individual company that supplies them can play a role in slowing it down, they need 500000 10mm bolts this week, but can only get 7500
it's a real big deal, and it all has to be planned for, they build what they have the parts to build? it sucks, but its reality

You may be right as far as suppliers, I work for fca and since June 1 when we came back from covid lay off our plant hasn't missed a beat.. Chrysler is not following the covid protocol it claims.. its top secret when someone in the plant gets it .. I've had co workers get it and not find out til a week later even though I worked directly with them on there last day before being put out..I haven't seen anymore absenteeism then normal.. mexico may be different idk..

Good info! Yeah legally they cannot disclose any information of someone who gets it, and if that person doesnt tell them you've been in close contact then technically they're following protocol! However, if that person said they have been in close contact and they did not inform you even with a positive test that is a different story.

you are right on paper everything is going great, you probably dont notice higher absenteeism because it's not common knowledge, mgt will say people are on vacation, unless you here different on facebook or by the people quarantined themselves. as much as fca may not be walking the walk on covid,
suppliers are doing worse, and probably dont have temporary people waiting in the halls to fill in for absentees.
I'm positive fca wants these high profit trucks on the lots as much as we want them on the lot,lol
I'm pretty confident ford and gm are struggling also,
the big lie about just in time manufacturing has been exposed
keep the faith

also, on ram lots in my area, that historically had 200 rams on the lot might have 50
and what they get in, they sell quickly, hopefully fca is catching up

Yes I agree I drive by a ram dealer and a Ford dealer on my way to work and both are out of hd trucks.. there are 1500 on the ram lot..
As far as not seeing the absenteeism. All the machines in the area I work are running everyday... they've actually been hiring at my plant..
As far as following protocol , my boss got it then the fill in got it 2 weeks later and they didn't send anyone out that worked for them.. alot of workers were in contact with them they didn't send anyone out. Ya your right, im not sure how thats all suppose to work..
