Chris’ 2020 2500 6.4L

Don't forget the break in periods. First 500 miles go no faster than 50 mph. The the same when towing. First 500 miles no faster than 50 mph. Its in the owners manual and the dealer emphasized that to me. Said it prevents a lot of problems later on.
Gotta seat those rings in proper! I drove mine hard from day 1. Honestly, I've heard both testimonials. Who knows which is correct.

I’ve been researching a better way to do my sleeping platform in the back. I started off by folding the back seats up, laying the fold flat floor out, and just putting a memory foam on top. While it’s been very comfortable, I just haven’t had a lot of shoulder room and wasn’t able to lay completely flat. I’ve lived with it, but it wasn’t perfect.

so after making the decision that taking the back seat out isn’t an option since I have kids and use this truck around town while I’m home I came across the back seat mod. It still isn’t a perfect solution since it raises the platform a little higher than I would like for it to be but it does get me over the arm rests and that frees up a few inches, plus I can now lay diagonally and this allows me to stretch completely out flat on my back. The notch behind the drivers seat lets me lay the seat back, or when it’s all the way forwards gives me a place to step in and out of the back seat at. Just need to trim my memory foam and figure out a sheet and blanket situation and this can be marked down into the win column!

You little folks have so many options!!

At 6'7" pickups are simply not wide enough.
I hear ya! I’m 5’9” and I believe 6’ could lay diagonal comfortably with what I have. You can pull out the passenger front seat and lay a bed front to back and gain enough room for even you to sleep comfortably but then I would be back to pulling seats out and I can’t get away with that.

Do you block the windows?

yes. Weathertech sells a fantastic product that will block out everything even in full sun. I rednecked it and got a roll of reflectix from Home Depot and made my own. Not as effective but will still dim it down enough to take a nap even at high noon.

Now the road master sleeper conversion is very interesting!! The limousine add on is interesting.

Roger that. I did the same for a few windows in our RV.

Simpler way would have been to get a Ram MegaCab instead. Just fold down the back seats and there is more than enough room for two to sleep.

Hind sight is 20/20 as they say. I had no intentions of using the truck like this when I bought it so I was looking for different features. Lol

Chris,
Have you been pleased with the way the Hemi has performed for you while towing?

Updates, had the opportunity to pull a few trailers now and so far my only complaint is the 32 gallon fuel tank...so I had a 50 gallon external installed. I wanted to do a larger one but with it being a short bed truck I wouldn’t have been able to pull fifth wheels because the tank would stick up too far.
Next mods will be a cb so I can keep up with road and traffic conditions with the truck drivers and a ranchhand front bumper because of all the dead deer I’ve seen on the sides of the northern interstates. I figure the bumper will be cheap insurance and more than pay for itself if I hit one.

What tank did you go with? Is it plumbed to your gas tank or do you have to pump it yourself?

Well, this one is wrapping up I believe. Going tomorrow to sign papers on this 2018 ram 2500 with the Cummins...and only 8,800 miles.
