AEV Bumper Now Available

Looks awesome. Please post some pics when you get it, if you don't mind.

That thing looks fantastic but I’m still thinking I’m gonna have to go with a ranch hand. Looking for one with better protection from those late night deer attacks. Lol

Nice that they offer a version for standard flares. The one I saw on the lot was designed for the AEV flares. Definitely wouldn't have worked with the stock flares.

That’s looks great!! Pictures please for sure. Do you have factory flares? I wish they had more pictures on their site and some with factory flare set up. My rig is black but the bumper is chrome, this thing would look mean.

I saw it on their site finally but not sure why no option to add the brush guard and lights .. it just looked like you can only get the bumper and crossbar.

The AEV website says a brush guard will be available "late 2020". I'm guessing this will probably be delayed though.

I did receive tracking that my bumper should arrive today 11/25, however I won't be able to get it installed for another week or more.

Got the Bumper installed earlier this week along with an ARB light bar.

how was the installation process?

Also, what winch did you go with? Thanks, I have been watching this thread for updates.

Nice! I'm going with a Buckstop Classic 2 bumper on my 2020 3500. I have one on my 2002 2500 and it saved my bacon several times.

Looks pretty good, truck is definitely asking for bigger tires now though! It looks much bigger on your truck than it does in their press photos with trucks wearing 40’s and big flares!

I’m interested in getting the AEV rear bumper, hoping to see it on a stock-ish power wagon first though, I’m worried it might look a bit awkward with 35s vs the 40s with flares on all their photos

Tires are on my list, once I decide what I want to go with. I'm leaning toward some 35" All terrains right now.

I had a shop do the install since I didn't want to hurt my back again, everything on this truck is heavy. I went with a Warn 16.5 Ti winch. The way the winch mounts is pretty cool. It uses 4 forward bolts and two bolts down at the back of the winch, compared to the usual 4 bolts down on most mounts. The install took every bit of 8 hours for them to complete, I read over the instructions a few times and there are lots of parts to assemble on the truck. I ended up re-using the factory fog lights since I have been happy with them, and added the ARB light bar to get more distance down the road. I wired up the light bar myself to the up-fitter switches in advance of the bumper install.

Looks good. I like those and the buck stops the best. 2 questions, did you buy it direct from them or a distributor? How’s the finish? Seems like most aftermarket type bumpers powdercoat peel and rust only after a few years...

Highly recommend Falken Wildpeak AT3W. I have them in 35s on my Power Wagon. I know a number of other people with them that also swear by them. Price is typically comparable or lower than KO2s or Duratracs. They have a 55k treadwear warranty. They are quiet on the highway. Good grip offroad and in snow (not as good as a true winter tire, but they are 3PMSF rated, and as good or better than Duratracs and KO2s)

I will also vouch for the Wildpeak AT/3Ws. Have them, and love them. I actually bought them specifically for the snow due to the many great reviews of them in snow, then I moved down South. lol go figure.
