Picked up my 2021 2500 Laramie, mega cab 4 hours ago. I special ordered it on October 19th taking GREAT CARE to order all the ram box Bella and whistles because my last two rams had the ram boxes and I loooooooove them. And that includes the cargo divider.

so, I pick the truck up today and when I ask the sales rep: “Where is the divider that should be in the cargo management group.” He answered that it is no longer included with the cargo management group..it is now part of the “bed utility group”.

I replied, my Monroe you sticker says that I paid for the “bed utility group”. Should I come back to the dealership to get my divider once y’all find it?”

he said that his manage had already left and so had he. He would ask about it in the morning.

this was at 8:05 and the dealership closes at 8:30....but no one was around who could give any answers. Hmmmm

i explained that I live 100 miles from the dealership and that it would be a 200 mile trip for me to come back.

he said he’d let me know what he finds out tomorrow.

ive lost track of the number of things that they have been caught misrepresenting on this deal. Everything from making up fictitious policies to claiming that bonus cash isn’t applicable....all with very basic documentation proving them wrong over and over and over.

I used to swear by this dealership. I’ve bought several trucks from them and sent hundreds of referrals to them and sung their praises on this forum many times.

VERY sadly, I lost the sales rep that I had so much faith in, and something has seriously deteriorated in the ethics of this dealership.

im not even going to wait for them to try to concoct yet another excuse. Tomorrow I’ll contact ramcares and find out if it’s the corporate philosophy that has eroded now that they are on top.....or if it’s just this dealership.

either way, I’m pissed.

wow, that's crazy. let us know how it turns out. I thought it was part of the ram box group. I know the picture online of my truck build shows it in the bed of the truck
 
This whole buying experience for a Ram truck has been anything but acceptable. I don't do BS and have no patience for anyone/company who cant keep their word. one day I get one answer and next get something completely different. Been 12 weeks since I ordered on 9/24 and have called ram chat numerous time inquiring about build date, delivery etc. was told to call back today 12/16 for info on my built truck on 12/14/20. Today was told it may be another 6wks.. Ordered a 2500 CCSB diesel with most options available... Hey RAM I deserved better than to be treated this way.

I'm in the same situation.. they told me 3 weeks ago it was built waiting finale inspection.. today I goto ram chat and now they are saying its waiting for additional equipment.. I see trucks that were built after mine with the same equipment being shipped.. there suppose to be getting back with me in a day or 2 .. not sure what to believe..
 
That sucks and I’m sorry it happened...BUT, you picked up your 2021 Ram truck?!?! This the first I’ve heard of them arriving and not just in transit. What state?

Update. Opened a case file cause of all the double talk. Now saying 6wks until delivery being a 18 week wait for a truck.

I was looking at car gurus this morning and several dealerships have pictures up of 21’s on their lots. 12/14 dealer told me mine was in NC waiting on a truck ride to WV

Just got off with Ram chat, feeling more confused than ever...and maybe I should just stick to talking with my dealer, but that hasn’t been super helpful either. I got my window sticker on 11/29, I thought that meant it shipped...but rather it just means that it entered the shipping stage. Posting this to help all of us better understand timing of this whole process.

Agreed! They basically admitted that they aren’t given much information. So what’s the point?

The same happened to me. Was told it was built and that the bed liner was part of that on 12/7. Spoke to them on the 15th and was told it had been at the vendor for additional equipment since the 13th.
