Remote start added to 2020 Tradesman (SOLVED)

I got a response from RamCare and they won't help me since Mopar is a aftermarket product added after the car was purchased.

Had mine installed last month.
So far the results.
If I remote start the truck and then try to unlock it one i leave the house (about 30' to the truck) nothing.
If I get within 3 feet of the truck it will unlock.
1 times I had a problem that it would not unlock, after a few seconds and being right next to the drivers door it unlocked.
1 time I had a problem that it would not unlock, this was 1 week after install. I shut down the truck from the remote and it unlocked.

Of the 10 times I used it 2 times it caused me trouble. No idea why and we will see as it get colder.

Right now mine works fine. But over the weekend I had one situation where it didn't unlock at the first press.

Does anyone have the correct part number for the 2020 key fob with gate release? Thanks

Currently, the only tool that can program a 2019+ fob is the dealer wiTECH. Locksmiths don’t even have equipment yet that can do it.
Jimmy I had mine programmed and locksmith in West Allis, WI. Whitlow's. Took them very little time and they had the wiTech.

Thought I would let yall know of my success. I bought the keyfob with the remote for my 2019 2500 Big Horn frm BAM Wholesale. Took it to the dealer and they had no problems programming it. I now have remote start and the remote tailgate release.

When I start my 2500 RAM 2020 LoneStar Silver Edition the FOB won't unlock the doors? The issue only arises after a remote start, I can unlock the doors with FOB when truck is not remote started. Any thoughts or similar problems? This is a factory remote start, not after market.

You not the only one https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/truck-wont-unlock-after-remote-start.2818/ I have mine installed by the dealer and it does the same thing. Can you check one thing for me. Get in the car (with engine off) start it with the start button (not the fob) and try to lock the doors with the button on the door. Are you able to do it? Also if the remote wasn't installed by them at the factory RAM won't help you. They don't care.

mine works doing that ie starting using push button and then locking or unlocking from door button. It will not however lock or unlock using the remote when starting with the push button. Also if inside and starting with remote and then using the door unlock buttons you will set off the horn honking alarm.

My won't unlock the door after remote started and I'm not able to lock the doors from inside with the button on the door while engine is running

Do you have the tailgate release button on your fob? Does that button work while in the truck when the other fob buttons don't work? Interesting ro know if it's all buttons or just the lock/unlock. That may help diagnose further.

I know when I tried to unlock the truck after remote started and it didn't , I assumed the same thing and thought maybe FOB is bad. So I tried other buttons and they didn't work either. Gate release , remote start off. It like the hub wasn't picking the signal from my fob

I did not check but I doubt it would as a safety feature, probably don't want your tail gate popping open if you accidently hit the button going down the road. I will check later but can not right now.

I just went out to check mine. My 2020 3500 tradesman did not come with remote start from the factory, however it did have the plug at the hood latch already. I bought two brand new oem fobs with remote start and tailgate release.
Mine remote starts and unlocks with the fob every time without issue. A few minutes ago, I did the test posted earlier. I got in, closed the door and started with the push button. Lock/unlock works using the door buttons and also the fob buttons. Tailgate button on the fob also works.

I'm disappointed with ram customer service. They told me mopar is aftermarket and I'm on my own now. This is so embarrassing standing next to my $40 grand brand new truck on the parking lot and trying to unlock it. While all the employees keep asking you "is everything all right?"
