Pure Performance Suspension. Anyone installed them?

There's are limited options for the 4.5 gas motors when it comes to lifts over 3". I found a company called "Pure Performance" and emailed their reps. They responded that any of these lifts would work on Hemi trucks. Has anyone ever used their products?

Thanks!

I’ve been on the same hunt. Anything over 3” pretty much. I’ve found Carli at about 3.25” and McGaughys at 4”. Zone is coming out with a 4” inch lift “soon” and McGaughys is coming out with a 6inch kit “soon” for the hemi. My latest research has me looking at closer to 3inch actually as anything around 4 and definitely anything above will need driveshaft mods and or replacement. I don’t wanna go down that rabbit hole where one thing leads to another as my pockets are not deep enough haha. I also want a complete kit. Shocks, coils, etc. I don’t like how most of these companies to include pure performance don’t include the shocks. I know very well that the Ram shocks and struts ain’t gonna cut it. Well that’s my rant. Haha. Nope never heard of pure performance. Distributor for Chinese made lift kits out of New York is my guess.

I have tried to find some info on them as well, but have really come up short.

CJC has a couple of videos posted out there that looked positive, but unfortunately they're all for the 4th gen, not for the 4.5.

Looking through a ton of pics in the customwheeloffset gallery, hunting specifically for Hemi trucks, I did see a few people have chosen to install kits that are supposedly diesel specific. No mention of how things ride, unfortunately, but they look good.

I'm still trying to find a shop that I can trust to install whatever lift I end up getting, so that adds yet another layer of complexity to my search.

I have heard that the kits will work but you will sit nose high for sure. Only real difference is the coil spring rate in the front as our engine is at least 500 lbs lighter. Also on specifically tuned kits like carli kits I’m sure the shocks are tuned for hemi or diesel due to weight difference. I’m guessing. I would hope. Thats a huge weight difference to me. Haha. It sounds weird to me when a company says it will “fit” either engine. Doesn’t sound right to me. My other 2 cents. In reference to getting it installed I am the kind of guy that has always installed his own suspension but this is a different beast and I too am looking for a reputable shop. Really hard down in south Florida.

At least we're all in the same boat I guess, haha. I have burned up the customwheeloffest.com gallery as well. The BDS kit says "for diesels" only like most others but I read their install instructions. It sounds like it will fit, but there well need to be a bit of exhaust re-routing done. This is from t the bottom of the second install page link on their site:

NOTE: Gas Models Only: If you have not modified your exhaust yet you can leave the front drive shaft out of the vehicle to drive to an exhaust shop.

I just called the shop down here today that I've used previously and told them what I was looking for. He said he'd call around to some market reps today.

The Carli and Thuren kits definitely have specially tuned springs. I know their reasonings but I with they had a 4-6" kit. Their quality and knowledge seem awesome. Mine is a street queen mainly, I really just want good build quality, a decently comfortable on road ride, and enough rooms for some 37's.

I have only used their adjustable track bar. It is not the best, but works. Pain in the azz to adjust but at least only have to do once or twice until set properly. Their other components, I do not know as I used bilstein for my level kit on my 2017.

Would you mind sharing the part number for the 5.5" for the gas 2500? For the life of me I can't find it anywhere in that post nor on their site. Thanks.
BDS1686H/FS – 5.5” Radius Arm Kit w/ rear block (19-20 RAM 3500 | Gas | w/o Overload)
BDS1687H/FS – 5.5” Radius Arm Kit w/ rear block (19-20 RAM 3500 | Gas | w/ Overload)

If you click on the link to the blog and scroll down to product info section it lists the base part#s for the different models/engines. I just hope it’s true and available soon if not now.

Yeah. I saw those for the 3500 but still don't see anything for the 2500s unfortunately.

Yeah you are right. Only mentions 2500 in the instructions and on the video they posted on their Instagram. Is there any chance that the kit could fit? I have no idea what the difference is.

Check out the opening of the video.

BDS just emailed me and confirmed Base Kit Id 1686H is the correct kit for my 2500 Laramie crew cab.

According to there website it is 1681H
Wow. Awesome. Yes they just updated their site i guess. Wasn’t there yesterday. Just found it by searching that part number on their site. Not sure why they both have same instructions but that’s another mystery to solve. Getting closer to 5.5” lift on my truck. Thanks again.

I have and idk where the one guy said it’s Chinese repackaged and sold in ny that’s wrong I’ve been there and know ppl that worked there
I have the 3 inch kit in my 2013 2500 diesel truck rides amazing pure performance is the truck division of one of the top names in the keep world rock krawler

Guess I won’t be doing a 5.5 inch lift. I don’t like the idea of hacking that exhaust up for the front driveline, hey, maybe while they are mucking with that exhaust they will find the cure for the start-up exhaust tick that drives people bonkers.
