What did you do TO your RAM today?

let me know if you have any questions. its about a half a pain. I'd suggest going ahead and soldering the daisy jumpers, if you already have the kit.
Thanks, I’m grateful for all the legwork you and others have done to make this easier on the rest of us.

Looks very nice! Thank you for posting, I have a white 3500 SRW and have been looking for a non winch bumper. You said removing the factory bumper was a pain, was that due to the mounting design? How was mounting the SteelCraft? What did you do or are you going to do with the plastic inner fender liners that extend below the bumper?
Trimmed the inner plastics. Just used an abrasive cutoff wheel and smoothed out with a ScotchBrite wheel. Does not need any rivets or plastic push pins, the fit is very snug.

I've heard mention of several people doing the under the rail LED install. Is there a right up for this on the site? I didn't see one. I plan on using one of my Aux switches for this.

I think I read somewhere that somebody tied into the led bed lights...How's that for a bunch of no help!!
Figures, I don't have the Bed light package. I am sure I would have to buy some incredibly strange wire harness to install it. LOL. I am just curious if any holes were drilled and if so where. I haven't actually crawled around looking yet as it is down on the list right now. Always good to see what others have done.

Get the bed light kit from Mopar it is inexpensive. A member on here has a tiny write up about it with part numbers. It was just a day or two ago. Then get the LED strips and tie into the power at the factory switch. That way they’ll come on together whenever you activate bed lighting.

Thanks, I will look for the post. Guess I should have had one on my Christmas list! All you guys are so good at spending my money. LOL

I didn't take detailed photos along the way, as I just laid down in the bed and went to work.

As mentioned above, I also tapped into my OEM bed lights, but did not drill any holes.

There is a gap between the stake pocket and the bed rail, so I simply slid the led strip through that, centered it, then removed the tape from the 3M adhesive. The supply wire, I ran through a small triangular gap in the rear stake pocket, then down to the wiring for the OEM bed lights.

I'm planning to go grab a few night pics once it gets dark to either confirm or dispute Eatonpcat's thought above regarding the brightness. I'll try and grab a couple of closeups at that point that will help show more detail as well.

Here are a couple of pictures showing where I routed the wiring as well as how the strip was run above the stake pocket.

The bolts that attach the tow hooks are 18mm with fine threads and they are about 4” long. They are torqued down extremely tight. Getting any kind of leverage from a breaker bar is tight quarters.
I don’t have a lift in my shop so I drove up on some 6x6” blocks stacked on top of an additional piece of 6” aluminum plate I had laying around to get me high off the ground. This allowed me to get a 36” long breaker bar on it. After you break them loose you can use a right angle impact.
Install of the new bumper was gravy. They give you new mounting brackets to attach to the frame horn. Heavy duty ⅜” plate. All grade 8 hardware and you have plenty of left/right up/down adjustment.
I am not affiliated in any way with the company. Top notch product, build quality and cosmetics are excellent.
For the inner plastics I’m probably just going to trim flush following the inner contour. Simple and it will still look very clean.
Or I may go further and have some custom liners rolled up.
I removed em with my 1/2 impact and universal adapter rather easy when i put my plow mount on...

I spent a few hours plowing then installed my block heater flush mount extension outlet so i can plug the truck in with ease while the plow is on

How are you liking that one. I have one in my Wrangler and thinking about getting it for the truck. I'm just wondering if it will block the vent or the screen too much.

yah I actually bought a shorter arm for it so it's positioned a bit higher. otherwise I love it. STOUT piece of kit.

Finally got around to installing those kc hood maintenance lights. This was also my first aux sw set up used#5 and set whole thing up im n commerical settings, pretty slick! Spent some time trying to figure out toolbox/aux tank/stuff i need and how to fit it all in with ATV loaded and tailgate Up!

A set of ramps at the toolbox for the bike to ride up some then you can close the gate usually
