2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Just gave out another bonus offer, pulled up the page again and got one more. If you're not having any luck try opening ramtrucks.com in a new mobile browser window and allow the page to view your location. Works for me every time. If you're not having any luck PM me. I feel like Santa, giving all the good children $1,500.
I followed your instructions on my phone and the "Bonus Cash Offer" popped right up. THANK YOU

So if you order a trim level that coincides with the batch they’re about to run your build will occur quickly?

That's the way it was explained to me. They slot in builds by trim levels - Limited/Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Bighorn, Tradesman, PW (unsure order/cycle). Don't know the numbers, but they'll fill xx number with parts and orders, then run that batch. Customer orders can bump dealer orders* pushing them further back.

When I ordered my Limited, it was timed pretty well to drop into a batch just days from the run. If you hit the lotto you might get your build quicker than the guy that just missed the boat - until they run that trim level batch again.

This is all second hand info from the dealer.

* After dealers get their initial early new MY allotments filled.

I really don’t understand how they prioritize their order system. Their seems to be no correlation between order date and as to when the truck gets built and shipped. What accessories did you all order steps, liner?
I'm considering going back through this thread and trying to collect trim packages, order dates, and delivery dates to try to figure this out. Would probably take a decent amount of work and only be a miniscule sample of all orders placed, but it would be interesting to figure out the timing. I imagine it's not a 1:1:1:1 on trim levels. They're not building nearly as many limiteds as tradesmans, so I wonder if it's the run size that varies or the batch rotation. for example it could be that they run a limited production run every two cycles of tradesmans. If I had to guess it would be that it's automated and based on volume. The rotation schedule is probably the same in terms of which trims get built in which order (for logistical purposes), but the numbers in each trim batch varies based on backordered volume. I think I just talked myself out of trying to figure it out, but may still collect the data just to see if I could generate some ETA metrics for myself and others ordering.

I ordered mine with the painted wheel to wheel steps, spray in bed liner, and 20K fifth wheel hitch. My build sheet lists vendor painted cargo box, so I’m guessing the bed gets painted at the vendor...
Did anyone else have to select sport appearance package to order 3500 Big Horn HO Crew Can. Two dealers told me that is only way that the order would go through. Also has anyone actually picked up a 2021 3500 Diesel yet

There may be a higher volume of certain trim levels sold compared to other trim levels. Lets say there are more BigHorns models sold than other trim levels. Would that mean there are more production runs of BigHorns verses other trims sold, don't know; however, seeing the data would be very interesting.

I'm in the same boat with the group- ordered my '21 Limited on 09-24. Dealer said from the beginning that delivery would be late December or more likely early January, but I have been hoping they were being conservative and I'd see it sooner. Not seeming that way now.
Mine is also sitting in either "shipped to storage" or "awaiting vendor installed equipment" depending on which RamChat rep I get. I have a build sheet, but no Monroney sticker, and my VIN ending #506602 will not show in the payload configurator as yet.
Brutal's comment makes sense- Limited interiors are different materials than a Tradesman, etc. so it makes sense that Ram will build them in lots. It's just a bummer that seems like this batch has been sitting a while without moving and we can't tell why.
I actually started going through VIN listings at dealers with 2021's showing in transit inventory to see if I could find any near my VIN, and then I tried to pull up the Monroney and payload numbers for them. Now THAT'S boredom... I found one with a VIN at #504XXX that had a window sticker, but I also found one AFTER my VIN at about #512XXX that showed a sticker. I think the earlier VIN was a Limited but the later one was a Bighorn, if I remember right. Seems to support that builds may be in batches by trim, not just VIN sequence.
In any event, it will get here when it gets here. I'm just excited like everyone else to finally have it, and it's hard to wait. Got my Bakflip MX4 delivered yesterday, so I will mess around with that for a while I guess...

The SO was shipped first. I haven’t seen any 2021 HO being shipped as of yet. So there is that also.

I'm still waiting for my 2020 ordered on 8/18, finally window sticker came up on 11/30 and dealer says 12/15 delivery to them. Mine is a nicely opted Laramie CCLB SO. I had to go Laramie for the 6 passenger seating that I need. My payload is 3995, I did get wheel to wheel side steps and no sunroof, 18" wheels. I am buying from Christophers in Golden, they gave me great pricing and the only dealer who gave me any attention. They told me from the start it was 10 to 12 weeks, FCA said 8. Once the order is placed its pretty much out of the dealer's control. What dealer did you buy from.

Autonation on Arapahoe. Actually working through a broker that I've used for years; I think he works with their fleet guy. I've heard good things about Christopher- a few of my co-workers bought there and seem happy with their deal and their service department. Will probably go there for service as it's closer to my work.
Bummer that you are still waiting, but sounds like it will be here soon. With 3995 payload you should be set to haul anything!

I was pretty focused on payload. The travel trailer I have is only 6500 pounds but I have an Amerideck lift that gets mounted in the bed to carry to baggers. Lift is 900 plus 1700 for bikes. The Laramie I test drove I think was about 3700. It was an HO mine is a SO

Good afternoon, First post and thought I would give the information on what I ordered. Ordered a 21' 2500 laramie 6.7 in bright white on October 6th and didn't think much on it. Called the dealer on December 1st and they gave me a vin and used the Ramchat thing and they said it is in JB Status with a delivery date of third week of December if everything stays on schedule. No idea when my build sheet was sent. Whenever I pull it up the date changes to whatever that current date is. Seems like mine if following the same timeframe as most everyone else that has posted. Hoping for a Christmas present haha.

Did you order the standard or the high output option?

I guess I should have clarified it was a 2500. Standard output.
Yeah I have yet to see an HO ship yet. Congrats on the truck. Hope you get it soon. My Laramie is suppose to be built either this coming week or the next. Depends on who you believe?

That would definitely be a significant amount of work, but it would be interesting to see if there is any type of trend in sequencing orders. Another thing to consider is low production colors and how they factor in.

Great point, I hadn't factored in colors. That may play a role. I'll have to search youtube to see if there are any videos of the Ram HD production line to see if they're grouped by color. I believe when I looked into Ford's they were not. The bodies were painted in a separate facility and basically put into inventory and pulled as needed. Logistics are fascinating if you're a nerd. If you're good at it you can make a fortune: look at Amazon's warehouse's order automation systems.

Yeah I have yet to see an HO ship yet
Within 250 milse of me we have 35 HO 3500's in transit, so I believe they are shipping already, maybe none have landed though.
I see Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, and even a Limited listed. The latter is VIN 3C63RRRL8MG521724, heading to Hillsboro, NH if anyone wants to call the dealer or FCA and ask about the delivery date.

Yeah 250 miles from me in Saint Louis Mo there are non shipping. Glad to hear that some are actually on their way out.

I just checked and didn’t see any HO models only the SO 68rfe trucks.

I take it back. There must be a lag on the site because now it's showing that they're NOT exact matches for my criteria (which was only the 6.7HO). I guess we're all still waiting.
