Ordered my truck October 28th still waiting for any news about build. My question is does anyone know if the payload numbers will go up a little with the changes with torque and rear suspension for 2021. Right now the best I can figure is my payload will be 4320 anyone knows anything different please let me knoe.back.

Yes, I have a Vin# Ram search sight doesn't recognize it yet. I looked at the sticker on the inside of driver's door on a 2020 today . No vehicle weight just GCVW and front and rear axle WT. So I couldn't get a payload WT without truck WT.

?

Never seen a newish vehicle without a yellow sticker that shows payload.

Yes, I agree could the sticker be some place other than the driver's door. My info on my 2003 Ram has it on the driver's door.

The payload sticker is actually on the door jamb, not on the door itself. I am not sure if all vehicles have a payload sticker or not, but the sticker on our Pacifica says the payload is ~1100 lbs. That's not much for a 7 passenger vehicle. The sticker on my 3500 says 2808 lbs. That's why I am looking at the 2021 models. A friend of mine has a F250 with a payload of ~3800 lbs.

I doubt they will increase the payload as they could have it way over what it is now they are just being really stingy with the ratings, going by the lowest rated part on my 2019 2500 cclb cummins i should have a payload of 4040lbs not the 2040 they have on the sticker

2040 seems low for a 2500. The crew cab and Cummins takes up a lot of the available payload.

Thats why i sat down and crunched the numbers and had my engineer friend do the calculations on parts without ratings. So the extra 2000 is based on axle ratings (what ram rates them at) actual aam ratings are much more about 40% more i am having my gvwr upped legally by 2000lbs from a local shop that is classed as an automotive builder shop

That’s good you’re looking at your weight numbers and figuring it all out before loading up. Some guys just load and tow without checking the numbers first. At least I had a fairly close idea of what my weights were before I purchased a fifth wheel. It didn’t take long to learn that the brochure weights are never actual weights, which are never discovered until after the purchase and everything is run across a scale.
