Question - Is it possible to add a RAM CD player from a 2019 part to 2020 Truck?

I really like the ability to listen to my CDs, I have lots. In the 2019 you could get a CD player, then in 2020 model year they are gone.
If one was to buy a 2020 truck, is it possible to get a CD player insert where the pocket is now - (the old CD player lived in the now pocket) and get it to work?
What would it take to make such a combination work? I guess I could order a RAM CD player so that it would have the proper connections to fit the 2020 radios.
How much would this cost any ideas? Still looking at getting a new truck. Would this possibly affect the ability to update the radio via the normal OTA process?
Thanks for the education/information in advance.

Yes, it is definitely possible. Nothing has changed between 2019 and 2020 as far as interior parts fitment-wise, so you would get the lower console bezel for the CD player, and the CD player itself (probably associated brackets). The wiring won’t be there for it, so a small custom add-on harness would have to be built. The CD player is a separate module from the radio, only linked by a few signal wires, so OTA updates won’t be affected. You do need AlfaOBD software to enable the feature in the BCM so it will start working.
