Water leaking under rear set - '20 Bighorn crew cab

So, I went through this with my '04 and am shocked that it appears I'm dealing with this on a new 2020 Bighorn. In the drivers side storage area under the rear seat, yesterday I pulled out a soaking wet roll of blue shop towels. Had an appt at the dealer (there now) today so I mentioned it. Got the same answer I got before on the '04. Could be leaking around the rear brake light, the rear window, etc. The truck has a little over 1000 miles on it. Better yet, they say that they outsource fixing that, to some "water doctor". Can this really be happening on a $70k truck? I am well and truly ticked off. When it happened to the '04 I had to rip out the carpet, etc to let it dry out without getting mold and mildew.

Probably the 3rd brake light. My dealer will seal the light with rtv seal, upon request.

Yeah, agreed. On my '04, it was that along with the rear window. I'm just really disappointed that I've already got water inside the cab on this truck. So, I've got that, plus I mentioned in another thread about cruise control issues - today they confirmed bad switch. So, on a $65k truck (not actually $70) I've now got 3 issues. TSB that I had to show the dealer (AC), water in the cab, cruise control needing a part. I am really impressed at how the truck pulls, but I am really disappointed in having these issues on a very expensive brand new truck with almost zero miles on it, and that a 3rd party named "Water Doctor" apparently has to come to the dealership every 2 weeks on schedule to deal with these issues. This is not an indictment about the dealer. This is a manufacturing problem.

I’d put money on the 3rd brake light. My 13,14 and 16 all had to be sealed and this is the same cab.

Happened on my 2013 1500 too. They even replaced my carpet under warranty because of it. How hard can this issue be to design a fix for? The bean counters must have really screwed this one up to let it keep going on this long. Penny wise and pound foolish is the saying.

I was working as an on-site engineer at the Old Jeep Plant in Toledo back in the day and the XJ's had a leak issue...They tested the crap out of them and a lot failed the leak test, but they kept loading them on trailers and rail cars and selling them to us sheep!!

Yeah, I am really really really pissed about this. I get that nothing is perfect, but SERIOUSLY FCA? Keeping water out of the cab is an engineering achievement you can't deliver on? I was pissed that I had to deal with it (twice) on my '04 Ram 2500. But that truck wasn't $65k. To have it happen to a new 2020 like this is friggin unacceptable. I plan to reach out to FCA about this. It isn't a dealer issue. This is an FCA issue and they should be completely and totally ashamed of themselves for this. I used to say my '04 was a great driveline (5.9 Cummins/NV5600) surrounded by a couple tons of trash - jokingly. But this?
