I am trying to reset the RF Hub through alfaobd in my 2020 2500. The dealership gave me my 4 digit PIN and the truck said it was invalid. I went back to the dealer the next day and they give me a different PIN. I went straight home and tried it and again the truck said it was invalid. I then went to a different dealership and got yet another different PIN (which again did not work). I asked the parts guy how the PIN keeps changing and he said he has no idea, he just punches in the last 8 of my VIN and tells me whatever the computer says. I also tried the Chrysler PIN puller app and that did not work.

Are the 2020's not using a fixed PIN? Anybody know what might be going on?

@Jimmy07 will chime in when he sees it. There are two pins. One is fixed. The one for the RF hub is random generated and changes every 12 hours or something like that.

Just curious. Why would you try to reset the hub? Maybe that what I should do to fix my remote starter problem.

These new RF Hubs on the 2019+ HDs are completely different than the 4th gens. As you found out, the PIN is no longer static, so every time dealer connect pings the VIN, the hub spits out a new PIN. The RF Hub needs a live connection with witech to be able to utilize the PIN for anything, such as programming fobs, so the PIN is completely useless to the end user or AlfaOBD. There is also no reset procedure on these hubs, even at the dealer level. The good news is, you really don’t need the PIN, or a reset, like you did before when making changes that involve the rf hub. You can just change the tire thresholds in the bcm, and the rf hub will automatically pick up on them.

I order new wheels/tires from custom offsets and the tpms sensors are not getting any picked up. I manually programmed the new sensors ID's using alfaobd, but the truck still does not see them. I was hoping a rf Hub reset would solve the problem. Any suggestions?

It is known that the sensors they were supplying do not work on the 2019+ HDs. You’ll need genuine mopar sensors, and they’ll automatically pick up.

I am pretty frustrated with Custom Offsets because I had brought this issue to their attention prior to them mounting the tires and they assured me their sensors would work.

I went ahead and ordered oem sensors. Even that was frustrating because the parts fiche shows 2 different sensors, one costing twice as much as the other.

I would take the truck back to them and tell them either they can pay for the Mopar sensors or they can have their tires and rims back.

Wish I could but they 900 miles away. They have offered to cover $100 for a tire shop to swap in oem sensors, and I'm assuming they will give me a refund for the sensors I bought from them.

Problem I'm facing now is 2 dealerships have told me these sensors are on backorder. I ordered some off eBay, praying they aren't knock offs.

You should be fine if they are coming from a Mopar dealer. A lot of Mopar dealers selling parts on eBay. Are they coming from Florida maybe?

Someone bought some sensors on ebay and they never worked. I hope you have better luck.

I have some "OEM" Chinese sensors from EBAY, they worked fine on my 2015 Ecodiesel and my 2019 2500.

OT, however those same sensors that worked for my truck would NOT work with the TRAILER TPMS system.

They are coming from Florida. One of the sellers from Florida had reviews saying they sold counterfeit parts. The guy I bought from seemed fairly legit. We'll see.

Just an update.... I had the OEM sensors I got installed at a tire shop and within a minute or two of driving everything synced up.

I had taken the wheels off the truck and brought them to the shop in the back of my work truck. They were certain that the sensors wouldn't work without my truck there to do a relearn.
