Have a 19 2500 big horn gasser, in the winter it’s still my daily driver so I’m planning on swapping out the Teansforce with a set of studded Duratracs ... i went with those because the winter commanders are all back order until January everywhere in my city. I got into a disagreement with some friends via group chat as they said that it won’t change the drive, starting and stopping. Figured I’d ask here. Anyone else running studded tires? Does it make a difference? The guys I was talking to run off road tires and on snow and ice I feel they don’t perform as well as the studded Duratracs will.

so what’s your thoughts and opinions ?

Are you driving on ice or hard packed snow all winter? If not, studded tires will underperform modern non-studded snow tires.

I was actually thinking of running the same setup for winter... i have 35x12.5's on mine so there aren't any real options for a winter tire...

i have duratracs now and they are good in snow but with some of the ice we have had already i noticed with the heavy cummins she pushed the front end on ice.

I just got mine today, looking forward to seeing how the studs change the ride

Keep me posted!!!
So far the Duratracs are great, just like on the 1500 I had ... haven’t had enough snow as you know to test out the studs but very happy with them. They are also quieter than expected with the studs. The wife’s winter force being studded you can hear a mile away, the Duratracs you can barely hear the studs
