Made an appointment last week for today's free oil change. We'll see if appointments are with it. Or if it is just hype.

I was the first diesel in line this morning. We will see how it goes.

So I asked what the next oil change willcost me, as I do not have apre-paid plan, and they said $188 for the service I got today. Now to look up "BG MOA oil additive" and see what that is. They noted it on the invoice as "required at each service interval to maintain protection".

Is that additive worth $80? $188 is outrageous. That must be a very profitable dealership if they have a lot of diesel customers

Ram care says the first 4 oil changes are free.

I'm not in Texas, or in Florida. My friends in Florida got 4 oil changes for free. I asked when buying the truck and they said nope.

I bought my truck in Texas but live in CA. Hmmm...

I don't see where Ramcare says anything about where you live or bought your truck. makes me wonder if dealerships are double dipping.

This has been discussed before. If you look at the details (terms) of that program, it clearly states it's for TX only.

missed that..jeepcare was better lol. figured it would be the same.

So just for ****s and grins I emailed ramcare and inquired about the free oil changes...it was worth the time to email. The ramcare responded that the program was only for Texas but being I took the time to email they signed me up for 2 free complimentary oil changes to be used in a years time. I checked my mopar dashboard account and sure enough the service contract for 2 free oil changes shows up on my account..How cool is that.

What is the Ram Care email you used? I need to do this. I bought my truck in Texas and had it shipped to me in CA. I didn't see it in my account, but then again it doesn't let me log in anymore LOL

the email at the bottom of their website that says "email our customer service team" it will have you enter your personal information and vin number. then give you choices on what you inquiring about.

Has anyone requested 5w-40? Was all three gallons of oil covered?

One has to love the "Participating dealers" clause. Essentially, many different corporations under the guise of one banner and it simply is not true. A dealer has connections to a manufacturer, but does not represent the manufacturer. They request things from the manufacturer, of behalf of the 'client', in theory. The manufacturer will direct the 'client' (purchaser of the goods) to the dealer, so they do not have to deal with thousands of client directly. Rose around the rosie.
