2019 Ram 2500HD, Is there a hidden winch mount available?

Can't wait to start working on it. The worst part will be removing the bottom grill I think. I checked some YouTube videos and 2019 is different then 2020 (lower grill removal) and I can't find instructions anywhere so it might take a while. Winch should be in tommorow.

Badass, if you could post all the part numbers and a total cost when you’re done that would help a ton of people. Maybe a write-up!!

I am so doing this!
I have same model as you so looking forward to any insight you can give.

Looks like saturday should be a nice weather to do the installation. So stay tuned. Hopefully everything go smooth.

Anyone knows if I can rotate the clutch on Badland Apex winch like they did in this video? (starts at 1:33)
This will help me tremendously

No first hand experience with the Apex, but when viewing this video (detailed portion starts around 11:00) it looks to me like yes it is technically clockable, but you'd lose some integrity when retightening the case as you'd only be able to use 4 bolts instead of the 6.

From looking at the video above I might have to remove 4 bolts in the corners (under the clutch assembly) and rotate the whole side of the winch. I took apart smaller winch couple of times from my ATV and the clutch side is not that complicated and it looks like it doesn't matter how you put it together just have to make sure you can still put it together after I rotate it

Okay, so now that you have found success.... how about the breakdown of all part numbers required to get the winch mount installed and the approximate costs so that for all eternity folks can find and utilize this work.

Great job. At some point, someone had to gather up the nuts to dive in and make this a reality. You won!

I will start new thread tomorrow with parts list and brief write-upView attachment 8407

When you start that thread, create a few extra "holder" posts and then let me know if you want it made into a sticky and/or locked so it doesn't get polluted.

Locking it would be a good idea.

People can still dig this one up and ask the same 12 questions over and over again for the next decade, but leave the factual/instructional one clean and neat.

I was just wondering. My truck came with the "Snow Chief Group" so I had 220 amp alternator installed. If you plan on installing the winch do you need that size also?

This is awesome thank you for pushing forward for the rest of us. Definitely going to help a lot of your fellow RAM owners out, great stuff.

Was there any issue with mounting the winch in the bracket? did it need to mounted upside down to accommodate the Power Wagon "top spool" configuration verses the bottom spool on the standard winch?
