I did. Apparently my two Tradesman trucks (2013 and 2020) had serious upgrades to them from the dealer. Neither of mine had vinyl flooring or seats. And the upscale items listed for the Bighorn and Laramie are on my Tradesman.

The trim levels as described are confusing and apparently inaccurate. Or are that many dealers ordering custom because they know what will sell in their area?

The article just shows you what comes standard on each trim from the factory with no options added. Level 2 on a Tradesman adds items that are included on a Big Horn and so on.

RAM allows you to do wild customization compared to say GM/Ford. They'll let you add the lions share of options to even a base trim Tradesman. Go on the configurator and you can easily build a 60k MSRP Tradesman.

Therefore, out in the wild you'll see Tradesmans with stuff Laramie's may not have.

Usually to get a base tradesman...you have to order it yourself.

Most dealers add the cloth seats and such...as the base tradesman isnt a big seller...but a loaded up tradesman looks like a good price compared to a Laramie.

Mine has the vinyl seats and rubber floor...i wouldnt have it any other way now. But...i can not find one on the lot similarly equiped as they all have cloth and carpet.

I did find one 3500 base...but it was white...not sure I want another white truck

Apparently the Laramie and the Limited trucks that were on the lot when I was looking were loaded. The Laramie was 800 less payload and the Limited was 1200 less payload. All were diesels. Not sure why that much of a lower payload rating, but I saw the decals.

You're right on the order part. I lucked out searching Autotrader for a couple of weeks and found a HO 3500 with towing tech, safety group, and other options. I tell people it's a loaded Tradesman and absolutely wanted the vinyl seats and floor because of my kids.

Yeah, the payload drops on simple option adds are weird. You wouldn't think a few electronic items would decrease payload so much.

Cloth seats and the chrome package. I really appreciate the rare Tradesman I see ordered with black bumpers.

My Tradesman was stickered at almost $66k lol.
I enjoy having 360* cameras and a manual adjust drivers seat

I read it and noticed the Bighorn and up now have "Trailer-Light Check-Out."

It will be interesting to see if this is something that will come with a future AlfaOBD update and can be enabled like many other sales codes. Unfortunately, I'm thinking it's possibly a new BCM firmware.

I tried to look into what that feature meant but it doesn't google well.

I'm thinking it just activates a carnival dance of lights for the trailer so you can walk around and make sure they are all working. Could always just manual the lights and flashers on though, so :dunno:

Nissan shows one that is activated by certain keypress of the remote so you can check out all the light functions by yourself.

It rolls through flashing the turn signals, brake lights.

I just turn on my lights and the hazards when I hook up my trailers, so it's a bit of a novelty.

I got a 7 year old son who goes through the lights for me. Makes him proud. He also is much better at guiding me back to hook up the trailer than his 2 sisters and mom combined.

He hooks the chains and everything. Figure I got atleast 11 more years of the help.
