New to the forum. Thanks for all the great info on here.

I ordered 2021 3500 Tradesman 6.4L Crew Cab SRW 4X4 on September 8, dealer emailed me VIN on the 15th. It’s not brining up any info yet.

Here is my build:
Granite Crystal
4.10 rear
Electric on the fly shifter
Bed utility group
Snow Chief
Chrome appearance
5th Wheel Prep
Uconnect 8.4
Rear window defroster
Trailer brake control
Rubber mats
 
Hi all,

I tried to order the Snow Chief package on a 2021 2500. Dealer said it could not be added unless offroad package was selected. Anyone else run into that issue?

I think it depends on your Trim level. On the tradesman it let me add snow chief without having to add a package but on higher trim levels it would not let me add it without selecting a package upgrade. Several other option also triggered that as well on higher trim level vehicles.

Oops. I ordered the Laramie trim level. On the 2020 Ram web configurator (2020 I know) it could be configured standalone. I ended up ordering the anti-spin diff, on/off road tires and running lights a la carte, which is what I was really after, but the Snow Chief package is only a few more dollars (standalone) to get he HO alt, skidplate and aux switches. For me at lest, I did not want/need the offroad package to get those additional package items.
 
Anybody have any ideas as to when the ram truck site is going to be updated to allow 2021 3500 build and price?
 
Supposedly the orders for 6.4 and 6.7 SO trucks switched to 2021s on September 4th, but nearly a month later still no update on the ramtrucks website. The October date is supposed to be for 6.7 HOs from what I understand, but I'm not holding out hopes that they'll have the website ready to roll any time soon. Heck, you can still build 2019s on it.

The Nadaguides website lets you build a 2021 and shows the invoice vs MSRP for all options. It isn't official of course, but I didn't see anything new in the 2021 options that weren't in the 2020 build options.
 
Par for the course, last year I think it was at least 2 months before the online configurator was updated to 2020 models.
 
I was able to order a 2021 3500 Laramie with the HO Cummins at my Dealer this morning. They said about a 10 week wait. Evidently, RAM released the HO order option today, as I could only order a standard Cummins till now. Full details in my Sig

Is the dual alternator standard? Why is it neeeded?

Single alternator is standard. The dual 220's are an optional upgrade. I'll be running onboard air and additional lights, so I wanted the extra juice. Better to have it and not need it, than the other way around.
 
So it is confirmed that the 2021 2500s come with the digital rearview mirror? I was about to call my dealer and order a 2021 but they told me they werent 100% sure on some of those options, Obviously id like to get the digital rearview mirror if it is an option! Does anyone know if anything else will be added that is different from the 2020s?

Also did they ever find a fix for the steering wheel being off center and favoring the right/left? Bugged my OCD when i saw that i have been told its for safety but you can have the dealer recenter it/fix it. Unsure as im not 100%

The NADA builder shows it with the safety package
 
Dealer quoting on a 2021 2500 Laramie Hemi order saying that these are showing as “restriction” and aren’t able to give expected delivery. Any idea what this really means? I’d like to get one by Christmas (10 weeks)

Did he/she specify what the restricted options were or is the system just showing the entire truck as restricted? I ordered a 2500 Laramie hemi on Monday as well. Wondering if they have even started building the 2021 trucks. I read somewhere that they begin on Monday Oct 12. Interesting. Let us know if you find out more.

Just curious if you have a link for where you read that, if you remember. I ordered on 9/8 got VIN on 9/15 but nothing since.
