i just installed airlift 5000 air bags on my 2500 cc 6.7. 13 K 5th wheel. i tried 30psi, that was an improvement, 40 seemed better. airlift says dont exceed 100psi,that 100 seems high.
so what pressure are you running?

Pulling 14k 35’ 5th I run 60psi with my 3500 cc 6.7 LB. The bed is usually level at around 30 but I’ve found I prefer the stiffness of a higher pressure so normally run at 60. It’s nice to have precise control and I’d never pull a 5th without them.

Airlift is correct. Just don't go over a 100 and you'll be good. I use to run an airlift system at 120psi and never had a blow out.

I run firestone red label 7500 with 65psi. Seems about about right for my 15500 5er.

I try to ensure my airbags have zero pressure. ;)

When I ran air springs on my old 2500, 30-35 psi was just about right to get it level and a nice ride that didn't porpoise (I double tow) or beat the pee out of the fifth wheel

I'd think the 40 psi you ran would be about right.

Only time I ever ran 90-100 psi was when I put a 3800 lb pallet of landscape block in my 2500.

Don't you ever sleep? :p

My memory 1 setting for around town is 7 psi. My memory 2 setting for trips to the dump or the rock yard is set at 60 psi. Just rented a TT last week for a hunting trip and set them to 44 psi for a nice smooth ride.

My memory 1 is the minimum 5psi, 2 is 40 for dump trailer and 3 is 65 for the 5er.

The bag pressure will not be the same loaded as unloaded. I used to set my bags on my old truck at 28# when it was unloaded. That was almost 50# when loaded.

That’s one great feature to the wireless Firestone system I have. If I set it at 65# unloaded and then load the 5er it will self adjust to hold that 65#. I do not know if the factory setup is like that.

When you do, everyone within a mile will know too. I had my Mack RD blow an airbag while grossing at 77,000 lb. We thought the mill exploded!
