2024 3500 Uconnect 12” install

Recently purchased a 12” Uconnect 5 screen with the radio module out of a 22 2500 and am wanting to swap it into my 2024 3500 with the 8.4” Uconnect. I have all cables plugged into correct spots and still nothing on the screen or buttons around it, I do have power to the trailer brake and exhaust brake buttons at the bottom but nothing else. Should I need the adapter for the power cable going into the back of the screen or can I just use my stock plug with the tab shaved down?

Also found that if I don’t use the harness and plug in my shaved stock plug to the screen the hazards immediately start flashing and cannot be shut off without unplugging. The harness does not do this
