Please help me with my new to me 2023 12" uconnect

I can tell you the USB update does delete the old map and install the new on my '23. I assume it will work the same for newer trucks - it's the only thing that makes sense.
I got my jump drives today, soI’m gonna format em and pull the unzipped files onto the drive. I prob won’t be able to do the update uninterrupted until the weekend. You have to keep the truck running correct? Or just Run position hooked to a battery tender so it doesn’t kill the battery?

You have to keep the truck running because if you just leave it on run it will time out and shut itself off. They say it can take an hour for the update but my last two updates each took closer to 20 or 30 minutes.
 
This is why I love this forum: people helping people. I just ran the nav update from my USB drive and mine took exactly 35 mins from start to finish. Was easy and clean and will continue to monitor if the message reappears, but it didnt this time after I updated and shut the truck down.

Now my rant: I would have accepted it much more and been ok with it if someone at the dealer was honest and said the way to update these maps is to follow these steps with a jump drive.. The WiFi route is terrible. Even when I had my most recent appt a week ago to have something looked at, they had no clue about this and did a factory reset of the radio. I'm bookmarking that Stellantis website and I'm assuming when a new update comes online, I'll get the message again and need to go to the website to check for an update.
