I have installed new Morimoto XB Hybrid Led Headlights Lights Link
I have been trying to disable the DRL's because when I want my lights off at night and just running lights (parked) (situationally dependent)
I cannot seem to be able to do that through AlfaOBD.
Also for some reason I dont have the drl lights option in my settings menu in the truck.
I have loaded my safe backup file just to make sure I didnt do something stupid. I have went back through and checked everything and made appropriate changes I believe.
What am I missing and what am I doing wrong?? I have tried different settings on some just to see what would happen but no luck.
Thank you!

If you're talking about the LED running lights in the Morimotos, they're powered by a fuse tap and are on when the truck is on.

Yea I am. Then how does it dim the drl's when you turn on your regular lights? Figured it was something you could have the option to turn on/off.

The LED strips are dimmed by the headlights themselves. It's a self contained unit. Even if you turned the DRL's on and off with Alfa or in the Uconnect menu it would only turn the low beam LED on and off, not the LED strips in the housing.

Look for the Customer Setting Menu for the Screen. Should be a setting to activate it.
I mentioned I used to have that in the menu, but it is gone now and Im not sure how to get it back or how it got removed.

So there is led strip lights and also drl's? I thought the drls was the strip lights that are on all the time. I could of swore that I had them off at the very beginning of the install then wanted to see them on and now months later cant get them to turn off.

Does anything in the screenshots look off or might be the culprit?

**Update**
I went through everything again and got the DRL on/off back on the settings menu.

Still trying to understand if the drl's are purely on by just a power wire or if they have the ability to be toggled on and off.

They do "dim" go off when the actual headlights are turned on. So thats what is confusing...

Assuming your stock headlights were halogen the DRL setting on your screen only affects the low beam. Changing the headlight settings to LED in Alfa will not do anything. If you want the LED strips in your current headlights off then you need to break the 12 volt power wire coming from your fuse box.
