Living with stock Tire Pressure on 25 and 26 PW

For me, it was fine, I didn't notice too much of a difference, there still was a difference, it just was livable for me. If they were tires I planned on keeping much longer, then I'd probably air them down.
Thank You!

You don’t need AlfaOBD to change the TPMS sensor thresholds. That is done with WiTech2 and a J2534 tool. It’s just a dropdown in the vehicle settings within WiTech2. If you have a working J2534 tool, it’s pretty simple to change that. The tool is quite expensive (several hundred dollars and up to $1,850) if you don’t have it for other reasons.

If you don’t have a tool, I would go to the dealer and have them do it. WiTech2 is the tool they use. It would take all of 5 minutes.

I’m in SoCal and may be able to help if you’re nearby. I have mine set at 42psi (45 isn’t an option) in my ‘26 Power Wagon.

Have you tried to use WiTech on a generic J2534 on a 25+?

Reports are that they're not reliable for proxy alignment. However, I don't believe proxy alignment is needed for TPMS threshold change. Which is why an xTool and AutoAuth sub wiht a splitter and AlfaOBD work for it and don't require a Witech sub or $2k MDP.

Yes, I did some of the device experimentation in the thread on 5thgenrams. I tried the Rlink X7, Rlink J2534, Cardaq 3 Plus, and the Mopar MDP+. The Mopar device worked quickly and reliably. The Rlink devices were really inconsistent for me and generally didn’t work well when I tried. That may get fixed at some point, but I haven’t looked back since using the MDP+. The Cardaq device did almost everything, but a bit slower than the MDP+. The Cardaq failed me when doing a proxi align where it left 4 modules unaligned.

That said, you don’t need to proxi align after TPMS threshold changes.

I did not see a way to change TPMS thresholds in AlfaOBD since it doesn’t have most of the settings for these Ram trucks yet (you connect as a WL Grand Wagoneer in Alfa). It can only change things in the BCM right now. The TPMS thresholds are set in the wireless hub on the truck.
