Hey. I have a 2026 Ram 2500 rebel. I installed trx style lights in the sports hood intake. I had it on my 2024 Ram 3500 limited and connect the fuse jumper in the clearance lights fuse slot 79. So when the clearance lights were on the intake lights came one. Everything worked great. On the 26 I have no idea what fuse slot to put the jumper in to get them to turn when the truck is on. I can’t even get the lights to turn on at all. I tried slot 79 which is the spare now. Nothing happens. Plus the clearance lights aren’t in the engine fuse box anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I plan to attempt what you are doing. What lights are you using and how are you going about installing them?

Number 1, did you do a quick "I'll touch the battery to see if they REALLY work trick?" .
Number B, I'fn they do work, I've used a wire located in the passengers side end cap of the dashboard when I installed roof clearance lights. Open the passenger door and you'll see how that panel pops off the end of the dash, just to the right of the glovebox wrap-around. I can't tell you 'xactly which wire but a quick probe with a test light into that larger connector you'll be looking at, will tell you what has "marker light" power. The wire can also be found under the A pillar trim piece. I dug this up...

On RAM trucks (specifically 4th and 5th Generation), the factory power wire for clearance/cab lights is generally located behind the passenger-side A-pillar trim.
Here are the specific details for locating the power wire:
  • Location: Remove the passenger-side A-pillar trim cover. There is a gray connector near the bottom of the A-pillar/kick panel area.
  • Wire Color: Look for a white wire with a green tracer (White/Green).
  • Alternative Location: A 2-wire plug (often brown and black) is sometimes found behind the passenger-side footwell panel for accessory lighting.
  • Function: This wire provides 12V power when the parking lights or headlights are turned on.

Important Notes:
  • 5th Gen (2019+): The wiring for cab lights is typically part of the harness running down the passenger A-pillar.
  • 4th Gen / 2019 Classic: The wiring is often found behind the passenger-side kick panel, with some users reporting a grey connector.
  • Fuse: If you are tapping into the fuse box instead, Fuse F79 in the under-hood power distribution center is commonly used for auxiliary clearance lights.

Hey unfortunately 2025 and 26 Rams the fuse 79 is just a spare now. I used fuse 79 for my hood scoop lights on my 24. On my 26 I still haven’t got them to work. I want to use a a fuse tap but don’t know which fuse to use. I probably have to do what you said. I just suck at wiring.

It would appear F15 is the one to use. I have asked the guys on the TRX forum where their wire goes to, no answer yet; I assume into a harness.

Hey. I haven’t really did anything with the lights. Been busy plus the weather sucks. Sick of winter. Someone told me to tap into the bcm harness. Don’t really want to do that. I suck at wiring things. I just like to use a fuse tap like I did in my 24. But Ram got rid of the clearance light fuse from 2025+.

Try F15

Well I’ll be, moves in it’s own socket, so get a tap and place in ignition mode.
Right side is BATT mode.

Left side is IGN mode.

Thanks for raking time to help me out. I tried putting the fuse tap into the lighter fuse before and the lights never turned on. Maybe the fuse was blown in the light harness. Never played around with it. I will take a look at the lighter fuse again.
