7.2 with no def coming???

Truth or not - excited to see what comes out. With all the hype from all 3 manufacturers I would say this is more truth then hype. I'm leaning towards passing on my 26 and holding off to see what Ram releases especially with all the current emission issues.

Especially since Cummins redid the 6.7 a year and a half ago. Doesn't make sense to spend all that money and time only to come out with a completely new engine after two model years. I guess time will tell.

Two reasons Ram might go 7.2 soon: 1) the 25 and 26 engines are resulting in a lot of warranty claims 2) emissions tier bump happens in 2027 and more displacement reduces tailpipe emissions (which is why we got the 6.7 when the 2007 emissions tier bump happened).

I guess Cummins could keep building 6.7s ONLY for Ram pickup assembly while making 7.2s for everything else, but why?
