I know that most of you have heard that Stellantis is BIG TIME in the red and has lost $26B dollars under the old CEO Carlos who drove this company into the ground. Now, for the first time, the workers will get no profit sharing checks because there was NO profit  My concern as I look to have a truck built, you would have to think the employees building these cars and trucks won't be happy campers. Will the build quality get worse since there may be a lack of "caring" on the factory workers part? Either way, it can't be good for morale or for those building our vehicles. If I was them, I may no longer give a $hit either and say screw it...it is what it is. Any thoughts?

I'd like to think that I wouldn't sacrifice my job or potentially the life safety of others over a bonus check. I'm sure we are talking a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars, if that would even matter over a job that pays your bills and the life of real people. I would be more worried about alternatively sourced and subpar quality products being purchased by the bean counters than the guy with the torque wrench at time of assembly.

We are talking over $10,000. They got checks for over $13,000 last year. Not pennies to someone making $50-$65K a year. I'd be VERY pissed myself as these folks rely heavily on those checks.

That is a big chunk of change. But then again, it's probably written into their contract in relation to % of profits, if profits are $0 then what ever % they negotiated, is still $0. I'd be pissed, even at low six figures, a $13,000 check is 10% of your gross pay for the year. That's 6 months rent or mortgage for a lot of us.

They were not caring even when they got profit sharing - everything from RV to trucks post COVID is a crap shoot.

My thoughts?
Boohoo.
Yall seen how much these trucks and jeeps cost? I'm not buying.
I haven't had much for profit sharing/bonus lately. I still get a check. I still show up and work.

Edit: boohoo is intended towards the company, not op or anyone that has to buy a new rig.

This is the company as a whole, they produce more than just Ram Trucks.

True, Dodge and Jeep are primarily made in the US with US parts while SOme Dodge is made in Canada - exempt under USMCA

Chrysler is DEAD unless you want a mini van

Anyone buying a Maserati/Alfa Romero can afford the tariff.

Fiat wasn't probably selling well anyway in the US compared to other countries.

Opel isnt sold here.
