TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

I was thinking and that can be dangerous for me. Brutal said the sensors are 433mhz same as tireminder would the tireminder repeater work for the people with long trailers.
I would think the repeater is just boosting the 433mhz signal and would not be sensor code specific

HI, i made the changes using alpha, and on the instrument cluster i see the trailer tires show up. i have not installed the modules yet so i also get the service trailer system error message, but i can't seem to get the tire pressure settings and axle number settings as shown in the pictures above. Do i need to upgrade the software on the uconnect? if so how do i do that? Thanks

What do you see when you go into the Trailer Brake option shown in your picture?

It also might take some time and a few key cycles to show up.

Ya you are right. i went out again and tried it and all of a sudden the tire pressure/ axle count/ tire count options showed up. As you said, it just needed a couple cycles to show up. Im going to install the modules tonight. Hopefully the error message goes away and it will be ready for me to add the sensors to the trailer. Thanks.

Alright guys, im almost there but i have one more question. I got the modules installed, i have the options on the unconnect screen to set number of axles and tires etc. When i start the truck up i get the "Trailer tire pressure system not configured". im assumming i have it all working correctly now, but i dont have sensors for the trailer tires and i dont know when i will get to that. Is there a way to shut off the notification or will it go away on it's own?

I don't see it on mine and never did pair any sensors. I think if you just switch away from that EVIC screen, it will not come back up.

I keep getting this not configured message at every start up.

You will get it until you pair some sensors.

i couldnt find any setting in uconnect to shut it off. really annoying actually lol. i might need to get sensors just to shut it off.

Not sure, but mine never comes up and everything is still enabled.

Maybe just try to pair sensors and let it timeout?

Have you actually hooked a trailer up to it?

no i have not hooked it up to any trailer. So you have it enabled and you have not configured it with any of your trailers? And it doesn't pop up each start up? Im wondering if maybe i should hook it to alpha obd again?

Mine does not come up at each start. Never see it.

I tried to pair TireMinder sensors but they fail to pair.

Are you sure you hit all the options? There's one at the bottom of the list, "P/T chassis net: TTPM "

No i dont think i checked that option. i only checked the “VehConfig 8-Trailer TPM” to yes. I followed one of the PDF instructions, i dont thin i saw the PT chassis net: TTPM.

Look in the first post.

I can check mine too but pretty sure that needed to be set.

Well, it's getting weird guys. I enabled the "P/T chassis net: TTPM " and i am still getting the not connected message at each start up. I have looked and i dont see anyway to shut off the feature in uconnect or in the evic. I can't imagine the Ram programing this in a way where if you have the feature you have to use it or you will consistently get this warning message. Am i the only one? Any other suggestions?

TireMinder will NOT work. Called them and they said it will not.

Page 149 of the owners manual says:

A “Trailer Tire Pressure System Not Configured” message will be displayed in the Instrument Cluster when a trailer number is selected that does not have configuration values entered for the (Number of Tires, Number of Axles, SET Target Tire Pressure, trailer TPM sensor ID's)"

So if i went to the trailer setting/ number page in the evic, i should expect to get the message. but right now im getting the "Trailer tire pressure system not configured" message whenever i start the truck regardless of which page i am on in the evic screen. is there a way to reset the evic? maybe disconnecting the battery? I dont want to setup the sensors right now, nor do i think ram would design it that way. it's getting real annoying seeing this message every time i start the truck.
