Hey,
I am looking into adding a backup trailer camera to my 30ft Toy Hauler. I don't necessarily need the 4 cam/360, just the rear facing cam when backing up. In the "2022 Ram Tow/Trailer Camera Options" thread I saw the mention of the Visionworks system.

Does anybody have that installed? Does it work? How is the quality?

Any input would be appreciated. I rather have the cam on the 8.4 display than in the tow mirror. (My 22 has both options).

Thanks

I am following this also. I have a 26 3500 with 360 cam but am considering this for my 34’ fifth wheel trailer. And feedback would be great.
Thank you.

Thats a tempting solution. I would be very interested to see how it looks/works in the uConnect screen while towing, what options/setup does it allow from a layout standpoint etc.

I have been looking at installing the brandmotion before our spring trips kick off but have been hesitant as the website product page says Heavy Duty (2010-2024) still even though the product says 2010-current when viewed in the list. I've emailed them 3 times over last few months with no response so that concerns me from a support standpoint.

Be aware, the camera displays on the UConnect screen shut off after 8 seconds while towing over 8MPH unless you have a black box like NAViKS and I don't think they work beyond 2024.

Yeah. I have seen the info about the shut off in the big camera/towing thread. I am fine with that. Really only want it for backing up.
Just wanted to see if anybody has real life experience with the Visionworks system.

If anyone is interested in the Brandmotion system, Crutchfield has them on sale for $399.96 right now. I just placed an order for one. P/N TRNS-2170

Well that great info to know thank you! I do want my solution to be on the entire time as I'm towing down road so sounds like not an option for my needs until a solution for MY25+ is available.

WOW for that price I might give it a shot for my 2025. I don't have plans to install the 3rd brake light camera just want that wireless camera option on an "always on" screen while towing.

Thanks for sharing!

With the Brandmotion system it sounds like it only displays the camera(s) through the rearview mirror provided in the kit, not the Uconnect screen. Their website refers you to Crutchfield for more details. I have posed the question on Crutchfields's site about being able to make it display on Uconnect. No reponse so far.

I think @sstoner911 has posted about having this installed on his 24 3500.

I am happy with the camera so far, picture quality is good.
