What did you do TO your RAM today?

My BAK Flip MX4 finally arrived. My boy and I got it installed in no time at all. Only thing I still have to do is run out and grab heavier duty weatherstripping for the bulkhead as the cheap stuff they send refused to adhere to the spray-in bed liner.

looks awesome , welcome to the bak flip club. Mines 4.5 months old now and that's the last thing I would get rid of. Never had one before and ill never not have one again. I never used the Wheather stripping on my bulk head, just let the rubber gasket lay on the rail and I've never had any leaks at all. Only issues I've had is both plastic rod clips snapped off and they sent me a pack of 4 wich look the same but ara not brittle. They also sent me a black paint touch up pen. Great customer service to go with a great product. Looks great, enjoy.
Ps. I had to edit this post once I saw the pbr, at least you have good taste in bed covers

Back in college, we went to this bar called the up and up in Bellingham, WA. They served $2 pitchers of PBR. No need for glasses at that price.
Hahaha, I swear , i think id rather have a Schlitz or Milwaukee's best before a pbr. Fyi: only a college guy would buy$2 pictuers of that p/$$:p

You ain't lived unless you've had a Meister Brau, Braumesiter, Old Style, or Carling Black Label. Hell, when/where I was growing up Leinenkugel's was also crap beer. Old Milwaukee was the good stuff. Now the hipsters dig those crappy beers.

Sounds like we need a whole other thread just for good ole crappy brews and crappy brew stories. Lol

Heh now, I have drank my share of ALL those beers! :D I occasionally still do when I want to escape to a simpler time.......beats the heck out of a lot of the crappy craft beers they are selling these days. In my younger days, it was a lottery as to what we drank as well as what temperature the beer was. As a result, I think I can choke down just about anything called beer, except for some really bad craft beers.

Looks great, I have my MX4 in the garage waiting for my Truck to arrive.

Your truck is one of my favorites on this site. The progress you've made on it is awesome.
Thanks for the compliment. I had a loaded F150 and was never happy with what I had for what I paid. Buyer‘s remorse I suppose. With the Ram I wanted to go basic and build it to exactly what I wanted. So far I think I’ve spent less and had a lot more fun. Plus it meets my needs to a tee. Nothing extraneous just exactly what I want it to do.

I also came from a 2016 F150 Lariat, but I thought it was everything I wanted. Truth is it was junk from the minute I got it. I had so many problems with it.

After a year of ownership I finally got around to installing some side steps. I didn’t have a problem with the climb in height but my wife and my son are both shorter than I am and I heard their complaints. Happy wife, happy life. The steps, mounting brackets, and all of the hardware are all stainless steel. The winter road salt in my area will drastically reduce the lifespan of regular steel steps.D9BBCA50-FF88-48DD-ACCE-76862B5FA9A9.jpeg44864BE0-1B1B-468D-9473-F155150F0B66.jpeg
