So after doing a lot of research on here and the internet I ordered a bypass cable and Bluetooth OBD connector from weekend garage. I received the parts but I paid for the $49 Android version activation and I cannot get them to reply to any emails or send me no activation code. As of right now I would suggest no one use www.weekndgarge.com for anything. Before I ordered anything they were very quick to reply to messages now they won't reply to anything. I have messages to [email protected] and [email protected] they have both stopped replying when I ask for the activation code.

They are listed as an Authorized distributor on the Alpha website. Maybe it's a time zone thing? Isn't Alpha located in Europe? Weeknd may of had to contact them for the code. How long has it been since you ordered?

They finally replied to my emails and said there working on it. Maybe the hold up is because its the middle of the night in Europe. I should have just paid $49 for the app. It seems Weekend Garage is a middle man. Sorry I'm new to all this.

Not only was it completely unnecessary to pay someone else for an app available on Google Play for the same price, but you probably got the wrong type bypass for an HD truck.

I'm having a hard time believing you "doing a lot of research here" and then buying all the wrong stuff on some d-bag's website instead of the recommended products in all the sticky threads we put up here.

Dang little angry? I ordered the gatway module bypass from infotainment and the blinker fd+ from amazon and jscan. I will also have the alfaobd. It will all work out i just thought the activation code was generated quickly. I now know it comes from alfa un Europe no matter how you buy it. I have been ready for days so much information. Im one that can't leave anything stock. I love all the knowledge on this site. Thanks to everyone that helps.

The vLinker FD+ will have limited functionality over the MC+, which is the preferred OBD-II module.

Okay. I will get the mc+ the FD+ was actually referred to by a member on here so that's what I went with but I can return that

You get what you pay for. Cheap Chinese crap.
He didn’t get that kit from Amazon, he got it from a site of a guy that bundles this kit and charges more than if you source the stuff yourself.
The CORRECT interface you actually get off of Amazon.
Should probably stay in the shallow end if you’re not sure of what’s being discussed before replying.

I think you'd be surprised not only by how much good quality stuff there is, from reviewed and verified sellers, but also how much actual OEM and direct from manufacturer stuff you can source. I definitely try to support local stores, hardware and even Best Buy because I realize how much Amazon damages their ability to stay in business, but the reality is that Amazon is an amazing resource. We use it quite a bit at work because there are times we just need something tomorrow that the supply houses will take 3-4 days to get to us. Grainger and a few other online supply houses have become very Amazon-like in their speed of delivery, out of necessity, and whenever possible we use non-Amazon sources.

You are really based with that comment. Tons of genuine products for much less than stores on amazon. Online shopping is the better way these days unless you are in a rush.
To be fair, there also is a lot of counterfeit crap on there as well.

I use it, but you’ve gotta be aware of the knockoff presence on there, especially with filters.
