2025 3500 TPMS (not TPIS)

you mean change from TMPS to TPIS?

What parts did you need?
The service writer said it couldn't be done but something else was wrong, hence the parts ordered, but I have no clue what they are. I was getting very tired of waiting. That recall by itself took over 3 hours. I also noticed they aired the rears to 67-68 PSI to stop the warnings I guess

Friend of mine has had 8 or so updates on his 2025 so far. This last time it was 4 updates I picked him up at the dealer at 9am and at 5pm they sent an Uber so he could pick it up. Apparently the update for the cluster "illumination error" took a long time.

I think he has given up on the TPMS issue and leaves the rears at 68 psi. I am not sure I could live with that as my rears are usually 55psi.

I think the listing for tire pressure information system is a generic term used on the build sheet to indicate you have the the screen to monitor tire pressures. My build sheet for my 2024 has the same thing, but I get no low tire pressure alerts on my dually.

There must be setting in the BCM that needs to be changed.

I'm not sure if they are aware or don't care or what. I went to my dealers inventory where I bought my 2026 Limited Mega Cab and found a 2026 2500 Limited Mega Cab with the same options as mine. Under the Equipment Listing from Ram it states TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING DISPLAY unlike on the 3500 it is listed TIRE PRESSURE INFORMATION SYSTEM. So it seems there are 2 different systems but Ram is shipping all trucks with the TPMS system regardless which is infuriating Ram owners that want to lower the threshold below 65 psi but can't. I don't know why they just didn't set the threshold to like 50 psi for an HD truck but I'm guessing due to liabilities.

I asked my local dealer today if they could lower the threshold and they gave me some BS about the federal Govt crap stuff so I reached out to my selling dealer but they are 220 miles away to do it if they can.
