I have a 21 2500 that I just bought that was throwing P1451, P242f and P2463 which are all DPF codes. I thought it was a bad dpf so I got another DPF and SCR with all the sensors from someone that deleted there truck. I removed the complete exhaust from the truck and install the other one which looked tons better. I went into the computer and told the truck it had a new DPF so it would reset the values and drove it about 40 miles while it did a regen. The next time I drove it was about 10 miles and on the way it wanted to do another regen so on the 10 mile drive back I let it complete a regen and just drove around until it completed. Today I drove it again and it tried to do a third regen but this time it failed and told me to see the dealer. Put a code reader on it and it shows P1451, P242f and P2463 like it did before I replaced the exhaust system.

Anyone have any idea what I need to do to fix it?

What do you have for an air filter and is it clean

The issue most likely upstream of the DPF. Some causes are wrong air filter, clogged CCV filter, boost tube leak(s), bad EGR.

A quick search does wonders.

It has a clean Mopar 53034051AB

What is the best way to check the egr if it is bad? I assume put about 40psi on the air inlet of the turbo to check for leaks?

That quote does not tell me anything other than someone had a truck that regens alot and they took it to the dealer.

I just ran the codes again and have a new one P218F which is reductant no flow detected. Don't know if the computer turned off the DEF injection after the message or the injector that was on the replacement system is bad.

It isn’t a quote, it’s a link to a very educational thread on the issue.

That thread is full of two thousand posts of very good information on this subject.

I need to get this resolved so I can get home.

Do people need live data to help me?

Combine soot load estimate 10
Diesel exhaust fluid quality sensor 33
DPF outlet pressure sensor 0.023
DPF outlet pressure sensor voltage 0.69
DPF time since active regen 0

Make sure your def tank is full. My truck gives me those codes is I let the Def get below 3/4 tank.

Yes, I've been living with it because I can't afford to leave my truck with the dealer for 3 weeks or more. It's need doing the since I first drive it off of the lot brand new.

I'd take a look at the up&down stream differential pressure sensors checking for voltage(at idle) and ohm them out(though I don't know the proper resistance offhand but 0=bad)

It is low on DEF. Was waiting for a new cap before I filled it.

It is a different one with the other exhaust system. I would not think both are bad but can check it with instructions.

Did a boost pressure leak and did not find anything. Pulled the cross over pipe and it is not clogged or anything. Cleaned it some and blew out the egr. A new CCV is being overnighted.

You have something upstream causing your issue, these trucks will perform a soot based regen at 6-7 grams of soot, yours being at 10 indicates a major issue, its likely building soot faster than it can regen, I would suspect an injector issue if everything else seems OK, DEF issues would not cause this kind of soot loading

Instructions on what you want tested.

Does the truck seem to run ok and have power?
A stuck open egr could cause excessive soot loading but it should set a code for that and it wouldn't run very well.

I would have the injectors removed and tested if it was my truck

It runs fine with no EGR code. I got no air coming out the EGR cross over when I pressured it,

Would it not throw a code for a bad injector?

Not necessarily, if the solenoid is within specs and the cylinder is not misfiring the ecm wouldn't set a code, but the injector could still be overfueling or not sealing and constantly dripping fuel in the cylinder causing the soot loading
