Hey guys. I own a 2024 2500 tradesman 6.4 w/8spd 4.10 rear crew cab standard bed 4x4.
Just over 12,000 miles I’m noticing a vibration from 50-70 mph in 6-8th gear. Not MDS as I normally turn it off with the gear limit switch.
This is when empty. I pull a 6x12 enclosed trailer for work everyday so truck is rarely used empty. Strange thing is with the trailer behind me there is no vibration.
I’m running the stock oem Firestone’s at about 65psi front and rear. The weights are still on them but I’m thinking it’s the tires. I feel like I would have noticed this for sure if it was there from day one. I’ve rotated the tires once so far since new at about 7500 miles.
Only other thing I’m thinking is when I had the tcase output shaft seal replaced ( around 5-6k miles) under warranty the mechanic didn’t index the driveshaft and was maybe off 90*. I’m not sure that would even matter but ive always indexed them in the past just so I know they go back the same way.
Either way I feel like I would have noticed this at that time.
Truck also pulls pretty good to the right which it did from day one. I wonder if it’s worth bringing in for an alignment and wheel balance?
