Hi everyone, I’m writing from Brazil. I have a 2022 RAM 2500 Laramie with about 63,000 km (roughly 40,000 miles).

My Uconnect infotainment system simply won’t turn on anymore—no power, no signs of life. The A/C works fine, but nothing shows up on the Uconnect screen, and even when I shift into reverse there’s no response at all.

This happened to me once before a long time ago, and from what I remember I fixed it by adjusting the dash brightness and holding the Power button for a few seconds until the system rebooted.

This time, I replaced both batteries at the same time. The very next day the issue showed up: the screen shut off, then came back after I turned the truck off and on. But after that, it never turned on again.

Here’s everything I’ve already tried based on what I found in U.S. forums:
• Holding Power + Menu for 20/60 seconds
• Holding Power + Screen for 20/60 seconds
• Disconnecting the negative terminals on both batteries for 10 minutes, waiting another 5, then reconnecting
• Checking all the fuses (all good)
• Checking the inline fuse outside the fuse box on the battery cable (also good)

I took the truck to the dealership—they hooked up the scanner, found no errors, updated the software, and still nothing.

From what I’ve seen online, this issue is not new. There are tons of reports of the exact same failure on multiple RAM models from 2019 onward, from the basic 2500 all the way to the TRX.

If anyone here has dealt with this and actually managed to fix it, I’d really appreciate some guidance. I’m sure it must be something simple. The truck has no mods, only about 60k km on it, and I barely drive it (around 3,000 km / 1,500 miles this year).

I honestly can’t see anything that could have caused this. The only significant detail is that the issue got worse—or better said, the screen completely died—right after both batteries were replaced (they were brand-new units from the best OEM supplier here in Brazil, the same brand Stellantis uses).

After the battery swap, the infotainment came back for a few days, then died again and never powered up after that. I’ve already been to multiple shops, specialists, and even the dealership, and nobody can figure out the cause.

If I insist on having the dealership look deeper into it, they’ll probably want to replace the screen, wiring, and modules—and here in Brazil that basically costs the price of the truck.

Has anyone had a similar issue and found a real solution?

Thanks in advance for any help!

The picture of the fuse... is it actually intact? From the image it looks like there is a break on the left side of the small wire inside it. Is that fuse factory? I didn't know there was a fuse in the harness outside of the fuse box.

I agree, it does appear like there is a break. I find it odd to have a fuse from the manufacturer outside the fuse box also. Maybe is some kind of modification they do to be able to sell it in Brazil?
