Installed a obd2 bypass cable and want to be sure in location im plugging into. I've seen a couple different locations on various videos and pics.

I believe I have it correctly installed into can "c" connector set? See pic.

Alpha obd2 is next to download, I have the blinker mc+ in hand.

Please let me know if this is correct, thank-you.20251116_124814.jpg

What bypass did you go with? Mine had 2 that needed connecting.

Kinda the wrong bypass. That one's only CAN-C. You need one that has both CAN-C and CAN-IHS.

KAOdTech or OBDGenie.

Im assuming the one I have is only for gas models?

Im gonna read through that link again, does it matter which position you plug into? -- Just as long as its the correct one to the can-c and one to ihs?

No, it's not a gas vs diesel thing.

Different modules are on different bus.

Depends on what you're trying to change, that one will probably get you by for most things, just not all.

Personally, I hate spending money on half a solution, but maybe that's just me.

To quote the resident expert @Jimmy07 "All the body modules are on that bus- doors, HVAC, blind spot, center stack, etc. The BCM is the master node on both buses, so most settings should work with only the canbus C bypassed, until you come across one that doesn’t."
And from another post, "
Those modules would include:
Radio, display screen, CVPM, door modules, hvac, amp, power side steps, integrated center stack, memory seats, heated seats, and BSM."

Wise words, it will work till it doesn't
I dont suppose the correct one is amazon by chance? Or just a kaodtech kinda thing?

Edit: I can only find single can connector on Amazon. So koadtech sell them and whoelse? Just looking for quick shipping...

Not sure on ship speed with KOAdTECH but Infotainment or OBDGenie should be quick (and free I think). Links to both are in the sticky thread link I posted.
